Sampling Gurdjieff

Hey hey, since it has been a long time I haven't lurked on the forum, I wanted to share with you a musical piece I have done recently.
I sampled on of Gurdjieff's songs and gave it a modern vibe. It is called Untitled Track 4 and it was made with Octatrack, a piece of gear I managed to get my hands on some time ago.

Awesome! :D It's kind of sad but in a life goes on sort of way. I really like this approach. The kick drum is the only thing that is too dominant for my taste. It sounds a little detached from the arrangement. But I guess that's just a matter of taste :P

It is a mixing issue. I still have to learn to mix.

For me, that's nice Edgitarra - i like traditional music mixed with modern beats. It's the type of music i enjoy in the background when reading or doing something similar.

I really like it! I actually like the drumbeats. I'm currently listening to jazz mixed to hip hop beats. I like a fusion of ethnic or tribal music mixed in with modern sounds. Thanks for sharing edgitarra!
