The Russian subhuman
It is widely believed that the term subhuman is Nazi thinking. However, this is wrong, writes Professor Gorm Winther.

The concept of subhuman (Untermensh) is perceived by many as the origin of Nazism's racial doctrine, where all races other than the Aryan superhuman (übermensch) were to be considered 'partial people'. Ethnic Russians and other Slavic people, according to General Plan Ost, were to be eradicated or turned into slaves in the upcoming Great German Millennium.
Adolph Hitler's Main Kampf was obviously an expression of Russophobia and generally an expression of what one might call Slavophobia because this race hatred included other non-Arian Slavic people. Only Nazi colleagues such as Stepan Bandera's hordes in Ukraine, who committed genocide in the Polish and Jewish population, could get a place in the Millennium.
The fact that Bandera is an idol of neo -Nazi political and paramilitary forces in Ukraine today is something that has long been criticized by the World Jewish Congress, Simon Wiesenthal Center and independent Western international sources. And that there is an unnoticed genocide committed against the Russian civilian population in Donbass with thousands of civilian victims, we never hear about.
It is widely believed that the term subhuman is Nazi thinking. However, this is wrong, because this ugly terminology is encountered much earlier in history. The American Ku Klux Klan already used the term a hundred years ago. The Klan applied the term subhuman to the black population, which was considered incapable of functioning within the framework of a civilized society.
The Nazis later adopted the concept, and Russophobic myths were not far away. Mein Kampf's racial teachings taught that most Slavic people are short-headed, proving that they are not Aryan. Heinrich Himler and the Waffen SS demonized the subhuman as follows:
"Just as night stands up to day, light and darkness are in eternal conflict. Similarly, the sub-human is the greatest enemy of the dominant species on Earth, humanity. The sub-human is a biological being, formed by nature, who has hands, legs, eyes, and mouths, even what looks like a brain. Nevertheless, this terrible creature is only a partial human being. Although it has traits similar to those of a human, the subhuman is lower on the spiritual and psychological scale than any animal. Inside this being lie wild and unbridled passions—an unceasing need to destroy, filled with the most primitive desires, chaos, and cold-hearted malicious behavior."
This is clear speech, as is this quote:
"
Unfortunately, there is a deep thirst for barbarism and tyranny in large sections of the Russian population, because the country has never done away with its authoritarian and imperialist traditions, and we should not think that the Russian threat will just disappear if we can just pressure the Ukrainians to sign a peace agreement (my emphasis, GW)."
The last quote is unfortunately not a historical source. One might be led to believe that it is a Nazi leader who describes the Russian sub-human and appeals not to capitulate to the onslaught of the Red Army, but unfortunately the last quote comes from an opinion editor, Pierre Collignon, in an article in
Berlingske Tidende on 3 December.
The American and European man – the good guy – is more noble, noble and sophisticated than the Russian sub-human – the bad guy. Berlingske points out that this is an expression of the writer's opinion, and the man must of course be allowed to express himself freely, even though he is a typical victim of the cognitive brainwashing we are bombarded with daily from Washington, Brussels and Strasbourg.
But the fact that he is supposed to be a trained journalist raises serious questions about merit and competence. Where did the documentation go, where do we see source criticism and in-depth, independent journalism? How many millions make up the majority of Russians who supposedly thirst for barbarism and tyranny?
The world-renowned American economist Jeffrey Sachs is among the critics of the US and NATO's aggression in Eastern and Central Europe, and he aptly says that
journalism today in Western media is nothing more than advanced storytelling and an uncritical echo of Western propaganda.
