Scratches on hands

I am so THANKFUL for this site, because without it I would truly feel like I am going through some things alone. I live in a big city and have only been able to find a handful of people who I can talk to about this.

I wanted to share with you a strange thing that I found on my hands this morning, I was wondering if anyone has similar stories or could help me understand what this could possibly mean. I went to bed around 1:30, woke up at 5:00 am this morning and noticed as I was getting in the shower a bright red slash across my hand, it was not a open wound, so the blood just was under the surface, there was nothing sharp around my bed, there was nothing that could of put this on my hand....now it is almost gone as I look at it now...almost completely disappeared. What the HECK does this mean?? Attached is my hand as I needed to take a photo of this strange thing.

Have to say that over the years i´ve awoken with similar scratches in different parts of the body as has my wife and some other people I know.

In the case of your hand you could have scratched it with your other hand. Scratches that i´ve mentioned could have come about by self scratching or from wife.
Always best to think of the most likely until you just run out of them.

Well, the thing is this is not a normal scratch...it is a slash under the skin, I just took another photo around 9:50 am and this is what it looks like now, completely gone now!

Also, like I said, if I or anything sharp scratched me I would have an abrasion however the surface of the skin is totally untouched..meaning there is no path of skin torn only just blood that rushed to the surface and it has that punctured look. Here is the second photo.

Can you tell me a little bit more about the other people's or your wife's scratches please? I am trying to connect the dots...

I awoke 2 days ago with a scratch along the top of my left thumb (it looks similar to your first photo, but only an inch or so long.) It startled me. I cleaned it with alcohol and is healing nicely. I thought, how strange....

Then I recalled hitting my left hand on a sharp, metal, door latch the day before. At the time I hit my hand, there was no scratch or break in the skin. But apparently, I had injured the tissue.

I then had to laugh at myself for thinking, even for a moment, it was some great mystery with hyperdimensional involvement.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I will try to keep this in mind as well....I don't recall bumping against anything, but I won't totally throw the idea out either. I am feeling a little out of it today, very down and just weak in the body, so I will try to laugh at the experience and the mysteries of the universe :)

I've hurt or scratched myself numerous times without realizing it. The ability to dissociate works wonders when it comes to pain. It's possible that you did it in your sleep or during the day and just didn't feel or realize it.

I appreciate the feedback! I don't remember specific warnings or signs about marks showing up on the body, in the different media that I have been studying about the universe and all its different dimensions, but that is why I was coming on here asking. So none of you feel I have anything to worry about? So I ask you all honestly, there is no alarm going off in your head about what Laura or anyone else has ever said about these kinds of situations with the physical body??

Of course I would never wish for any explaination other than hurting myself, but I also KNOW knowledge is power.

Nope, no alarms going off. It really is best to always assume mundane explanations for such things.

Even if there is another explanation, what would you then do? Anything differently? Become overly focused on it and wind yourself up into a tizzy? Do anything other than what you are already doing, which is working to increase your knowledge and vigilance? That is all there is to do in any case, so, best to just assume - unless there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary - that there is a mundane explanation.

Of course I would never wish for any explaination other than hurting myself, but I also KNOW knowledge is power.

Then all is well - just continue to work on increasing your knowledge. :)

Hi, do you have any animals? I know I've been scratched by one of my cats (usually when I try to brush them, they hate it!) and sometimes the scratch doesn't show up immediately....

Hi Curiouskat,
Have you been opening any tight jar lids or tins lately? That might explain the redness, and could explain the scratch if there was a bit of hardly noticeable glitch on the rim and it twisted through your hand a bit.
A scratch from a circular object would tend to appear straighter when the hand is opened.

Just a thought, as I've had many scratches like yours due to various things and I often don't notice at the time they occur.

No..I didn't open anything that night or even see my cat (she was hiding when I got in late) I just flopped down in bed and awoke with this. It is completely gone now, but I will post another photo if I get one once again. Thanks for the help!
