A new report, just published by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee, reveals major declines in many UK seabird species, especially in Scotland. This may result in seabird cliffs becoming devoid of birds in the near future.

The problem appears to be (for a number of years now) lack of fish food for the female birds to get into a good breeding condition to lay eggs. And if the adults do happen to produce chicks finding suffice food for them to survive.
