I finished reading the book "Self Observation: the awakening of conscious an owner's manual" by Red Hawk. This book covers the work in basic terms and identifies key terms and is easy to read. Red Hawk ends each chapter with one of his poems which are a delight to read. The book is 149 pages and I recommend it as an addition to the other reading material or as a refresher to the material covered in Gurdjieff and Ouspensky.

I found it to be a very valuable read! I have read it 5 times so far and plan to read it again periodically. Each time I read it, I see something new I missed before.

It describes the process of self-observation so well and explains how and why to practice not expressing negative emotions. He talks about non-judgement while observing the self and how judgement brings you out of observation mode into identification mode. And, much more!

And I love his poems, too! In fact, I loved them so much, I bought two of his books of poetry "The Way of Power" and "The Art of Dying". He writes with great power, insight and humor!

I also have this one and it's an amazing book. I have no idea why it is not present in the Books list on the forum, but it should be.

Just ordered it...thanks for the recommendation!
