Im leaving for Chicago tonight and originally intended on taking SHOTW for some in flight reading, but I recall reading somewhere that the book is banned to sell in the U.S. and was wondering if it would cause any problems...I also have a lay over at Denver International unfortunately on the return trip. Please let me know if I'm being over paranoid as well :-[ lol

Thanks

It is not banned in the US and is sold here. There should be no problems unless you begin to 'spout off' to people who don't want to 'know'!

:headbash: I need to stop forgetting to use the search function...I was recalling this thread: http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=1725.15
and the incident wasnt even in the U.S., it was in Canada. Thanks for the response and sorry for the noise...

Well...anything worth seeing in Chicago?

Tom

Just to clarify, the thread linked states that the book was 'restricted' (banned?) for sale from some book shops in Canada (the book store was 'restricted' from ordering books from red pill press), the 'restriction' was not on owning the book or the book being brought into the country.

If you where banned from owning/importing the book, it'd be the main article on the SOTT page until the ban was lifted!! ;)

How will you find your spirals if you don't look at everything? ;)

Just kidding. I have yet to visit the windy city, but I would recommend paying attention to reality right and left, everywhere, at all times, in order to stay safe.

Have a safe trip! :)

Go see The Bean in Millenium Park - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bean - and also check out the Museum Campus, which holds the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_Campus_Chicago

Well I didn't have a chance to do any of these but I still had a good time with the family. I'll keep these in mind for the next trip :) Thanks for the tips!
