Hi all,
Earlier this week I was feeling a little off and had a runny nose. Didn't think much of it. But once Thursday came I had a really sore throat and found it hard to talk. I wondered why I had gone to work, and whether I had infected anyone as I was in close proximity to some for a while.
So today I used a sick day and actually had to cancel another appointment I had. I thought maybe I had strep throat because it hurt so much, even to clear my throat and my voice was really froggy. I went to a clinic and they said it was just a sinus infection and gave me doxycycline because amoxicillin gives me a hard skin rash. When I read the insert for that med while about to take it, it said to tell your doctor if you have a hiatal hernia.
It turns out that I do have one. There was also something about brain blood pressure that can get pretty bad, but it's a rare side effect. And to stay out of the sun for prolonged periods, which I don't do anyways. Well, I was kind of dissuaded from taking it. And honestly, despite being too sick to go to work today, I'm kind of feeling better all things considered. I had taken Ivermectin for 3 days in a row, gargling colloidal silver, and even put some in one ear for 10 minutes thinking maybe it was also an ear infection (I wear earplugs a lot).
Well, I only did a strep swab. They offered COVID, but I refused, in the event that nanogel stuff is true (I've taken a few in the past). I hear that strep can have some complications if not treated, but the false negative rate seems to be 5-20% so I think I don't need to worry about that. The concern for doxy for people with hiatal hernias seems to be that it will increase GERD/heartburn issues. After reading the insert, I held the bottle in my hand and tried to do a muscle test asking if it was safe and then ok for me. I was hesitant but leaned backwards in both cases. I would have liked to do the test before reading the insert for more objectivity.
So I was also thinking maybe it was COVID? I looked up new symptoms and only have runny nose and sore throat. But they say this Nimbus variant gives a sharp stabby throat feeling. I definitely had something like that Thursday, and clearing my throat was really annoying. I tested my temperature a few days ago and it was fine.
Not sure why they didn't test my temperature. Or even look in my ear, as I said I wondered if I had a secondary ear infection. But I think it may be just a pimple forming which is not in the ear canal. So I think maybe I'll just not take the doxy, mainly because I'm feeling better, and not sure if I want to have heartburn for a week. My food does digest slowly and seems to sit around for too long.
I think if I just keep gargling colloidal silver and iodine, silver in my ear maybe, and resume ivermectin for 3 more days it might just wipe it out? Although if there's an ear infection too I think you're not supposed to play around with that either. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading.
