Social Engineering for the Coming Technofascist World

This is very manipulative video and one more example of programming people to except fascist state for their security! Very disturbing:

In yet another attempt to gain public acceptance for the coming technological tyranny, the EU has recently funded the University of Bergen in Norway to create a website that collects people's opinions on three emerging techno-fascist technologies: biometric id, human augmentation, and global tracking systems.
The TechnoLife project's website claims that they

"will place a number of media objects in different (public) domains and use these as focal points of discussion. The idea here is simply that images and more emotionally laden content may better serve as triggers of debate than standard ethical principles or analysis. We develop a number of tools for that purpose, the most important being a number of short movies. Other possible "triggering objects" may include news stories, images and gadgets such as mobile phone applications."
To trigger a negative reaction as the stimulus for a debate, the Technolife project has created movies that deliberately portray the three above-mentioned technologies in a negative light. These shock films are intended to invoke a negative reaction in the viewer who would then presumably log into the TechnoLife website and post their concerns.

And what will the TechnoLife project do with these concerns: "The outcomes of the deliberative phase, involving a number of different concerned groups will be presented to EU policy makers" with the objective to "Develop methods to represent ethical issues of the three technological fields to end-users (policy makers, scientists and NGOs) at early stages of S&T and policy development" and to "Develop ethical frameworks that can be used to take better account of the ethical concerns understood in relation to social and technical imaginaries in the three technological fields."

Or, after translating into plain non-academic English, the TechnoLife project will present the objections of concerned citizens to EU policy makers so they can then spin the technology in a direction that is more acceptable to the general population.
Of course, nowhere on their website is there even the hint that these technologies could be prevented from being deployed. TechnoLife's research is narrowly focused on how to gain public acceptance for the coming surveillance and control systems.

So, if you would like to be "triggered" into providing your concerns to the TechnoLife project, here are their three movies which are guaranteed to make you wish you could jump into a time-machine set for the 18th century.

Thanks for posting the link dannybannany. I've been noticing the interest in nanotechnology and it's applications to the human body discussed at the school I attend. Appearing in class discussions that relate to the field (computer sciences) and also subjects that seem less related (visual arts).

The first clip was just watching an advertisement for the newest product pitch from the pharmaceutical industry. The second clip seemed a little more polished than the first. Almost like I was watching a sci-fi Hollywood film. How cool is that! Now, you can be a part of your greatest science fiction fantasies! It seemed to be hammering in the idea that we are in a hostile world in need of protection and security from some omnipresence force with humanity's best interests in mind. This really appeals to a fundamentalist mindset. I was kind of surprised by the implications of the last image of the second video. There is a frame of a black man behind a fence with text and computerized voice "to make sure that those who seek to harm us do not slip through the cracks." :scared: Really trying to amp up the anxiety here.

The third clip continued amping up the anxiety drawing from Great Deluge myth. I can't really put my finger on that one at this time.

I checked out the Seventh Framework Programme because I was interested to see where the funding for the Universtity research was coming from. In a PDF for frequently asked questions published by the website there is this about nanotechnology:

What's the benefit for citizens:
The design of new production processes could signal a reduction of pollutant emissions and a more rational use of natural resources. At the same time product innovation, with safer and more reliable consumer products, and cleaner vehicles, combined with innovation in the construction industry aim to meet people's needs and improve their quality of life, by lowering risks and bettering health and welfare. Promotion of more sustainable consumption patterns leads to improvements in health, personal awareness and behavioural change of citizens.
The introduction of nanotechnology results also present a new spectrum of risks and issues of an ethical nature, which are being tackled. Ethical issues refer to human integrity and dignity (e.g. "chips" to monitor or control behaviour of humans), risks linked to health and environmental hazards.

Seems like an attempt to just blend as many anxieties together (Us and Them, destructive God, global warming, hostile environment, unavoidable planetary changes) in order to justify consolidating power and exerting more control over populations.

I agree with the comments so far.

Here is the Freudian-type 'slip up' as far as I'm concerned:

By addressing the common man as fused (identified) with the PTB point of view, everyone can stand looking toward the same direction: an imaginary threat from "over there" somewhere that everyone needs protection from.

However, by understanding psychopaths and psychopathy even a little bit, one can see that the PTB are revealing their own anxiety and fear of anyone and everyone who understands and disagrees with what they're doing.

Of course, they will most likely never realize what they are revealing to us, because most of the PTB actually believe their fantasies, OSIT.

heh ridiculous stuff
As a nice boy , I posted it here and there ... ;)
Thanks for posting that dannybannany
