Interesting stuff there tykes. How are you recording what you do.what equipment software.can see you have placed Brian Wilson as one of your influences and I can clearly hear this.Have just skipped through the songs in the player as I have to dash out in a few seconds , but I can hear you hve a signature in your songs.
Thanks AWTF. Well, actually i record my stuff in a very primitive way i think, my equipment consist in an old yamaha keyboard (1991 i think, i was 6 years old when my brother bought it), as a joke i say to my friends that the real miracle for me is not to write a tune as much as the fact that my keyboard still works, this is kind of embarrasing but i have to use a pencil to turn it on
; the other elements of my property are my Bass guitar (wich is the instrument i´m studying) and my Computer. A friend of mine lend me his guitar (a squire one), a noisy marshall amp and a microphone.
I use a virtual mixer ( a very good one in my opinion) Mixpad audiopad by NCH software. And my way to work is just to plug the mic into the laptop to record my vocals and then sync manually (that´s why it sounds so homemade, i´m still trying to mastering), and for the guitars and bass i just put the mic behind the amp. As you see i really have no great idea, but i decided that i must try it. I hope to record someday in a more professional way of course and to improve my musicianship. By the moment certain financial issues kept me stucked and thats why i just decided to show my stuff as it is right now, because it was becoming a vicious circle: i don´t finish anything because i wanted the better conditions to do it, and i can´t get those ideal conditions because my stuff was unfinished.
I don´t remember exactly in wich transcipt the C´s mention that if done with total commitmnet, our very passion could provide us a way to survive too, and that´s the idea that keeps my musical spark still alive really.
I just wanted to comment how the EE program has changed some things in my life, honestly ( and i hope not to sound like a low budget tv advertisement), since i started to doing the meditaton i´ve been more productive than never before, and my attempt to put music into POTS it was really a breaking point in my way of understanding creativity. By the way, my inspiration for that one was Laura´s avatar. I visualize that cosmic woman playing her harp as singing the prayer. :)
