something about the number 14?

Good morning to all! here my doubt.

A few months ago I began to give me account that the number 14 was present in much of my environment, I admit that at first I was a little obsessive trying to understand the "why" or "what mean". I try to find some answers in books, internet, etc. but not find anything that had to do with me (at least consciously). Often see numbers and when added, subtracted or divided the number is 14. For several weeks I had forgotten, when a few days ago was traveling the highway in a bus when in a moment a motorcycle stood in front of the bus and low speed, which was caught my attention because there was not a lot of traffic, when I look at the patent, it was this "923 KEY". I saw the numbers, add up, and again, gave 14. I make this post because I dont see what mean. I know that may not mean anything or maybe it's my brain trying to "play me a joke." Anyway, if anyone knows anything about the meaning on number 14, I would be grateful.

Sometimes numbers can be symbolic, but I doubt they are purposely placed, maybe coincidentally the number 14 popped up a few times in a week, and then you had a suspicion, so began noticing the number more than you usually would.

What does the number 14 mean to you? anything specific in your life? What about when you were age 14? What about 2014? Who knows!

As you say you were slightly obsessing over the recurrence of the number, you certainly would have kept your eyes peeled to see it, and could have possibly been involved in creating it? who knows how strong your energies participated into finding the number 14!

I've just thought, the 14th of this month is valentines day? I know it's a mostly social construction of love, giving etcetc... but does this mean anything to you?

Lilyalic, thanks for taking the time to seek information and to respond, certainly when searching on the internet I could not find anything.
Now that you mention it I think it may have something of "meaning". 2014 was not a "good year". My x-girlfriend (with whom I have a daughter) decided it was best if i leave the home, Graciously her birthday is the 14. So, when we "broken" I started to see (actually i must thank else person that helped me open my eyes) she had psychopaths behavior and manipulated directly and indirectly (right through my 4 year old daughter) .... so I think probably is about that .... I must be strong and have self- control.

So, Lilyalic, thank you very much for giving me this view point.

Our brains are wired for pattern recognition so it may happens that suddenly, we may see the same number everywhere, or hear the same song everywhere we go.
It happened a lot to me as well but I tried not to assign a specific meaning to them.
We can project so many theories, hopes & fears onto these coincidences that they might become an obsession from which it is difficult to let go afterwards.

totally agree Tigersoap, at first I obsess on find meaning (not about to go crazy and spend 24 hours a day thinking about it) but called my attention. For a while I forget it. But when happened about the motorcycle and again caught my attention and not finding a possible "why", i post as it is good to know the opinions of others

I must add, since a lot of this occurences happen when we're togheter, that although my general attitude is "leave me with your 14!" it kinda freaks me out a bit. There are these 14 and 7 in the door to our studio, that were there way before you started working with me. If it helps, I got into reading Castaneda and doing meditation at age 14.

The most famous number 14 I ever ran across undoubtedly would be Johan Cruijff -- a soccer player in the Ajax team from Amsterdam during the 1960/70's.

Long since retired, he runs a charity which tries to popularize 'street soccer' in specially designated areas.

I'd be inclined the think along those lines too - pattern recognition. That and it seems that once something has has been brought to our attention it's all the easier to amplify the effect. For example, when was the last time you consciously took note of having seen a Volkswagen Beetle? Maybe you are not sure, so might then assume that there aren't that many around, but if tou take notice next time you see one, and agin the next, soon you come to see that they are everywhere, where before they went unnoticed.

In many cultures the number 14 considered the protection of the bad events.

In ancient numerology meaning by connecting good, bright and tens of God and the legality of quadruplets, evokes happiness and protection. :)

I do this too, only with red cars. Red cars go faster, you see?
Today is Friday the 13th.
This is unlucky for some. For me the number thirteen is neutral, but it does have a recurring theme in my life.
Maybe Dave_posse will get lucky tomorrow, the 14th being Valentine's day.
Saint Valentine was a saint, who died for his cause.
Saint Valentine's day in Chicago was unlucky for a few people, back in the days of prohibition.
Swings and roundabouts, perhaps?

thanks everyone for answering my question. after reading several reviews I think it is best to take these situations gently to avoid falling into obsessions.
