Something very weird

Hi all,

Despite all ghosts and aliens and lizards and crazy people and all that, I wanted to talk about something very weird I noticed.

I live in a main city in France, and I like sometime to move to the all the cities around it on the map and some others nearby.
Anyway, there is this main city where I live, and I decided to go shopping in a city thats located directly north of it, near it. And for that I have to pass along a river on a dirt lane, surrounded by vegetations. And over time, walking in both direction on it, everyday, for a few day, I noticed a few things. Like I said there is a river and right in the middle of that river, there is a waterfall and the water just flow from top to bottom. So, thats one thing, the water normally fall vertically from top to bottom like it normally should, as the law of gravity applies, only, on the whole horizontal line of the river, I mean, the whole river, there is no current, the water doesnt flow, its totally inert, its dead, there is no current, its completely static, there is no flow horizontally, but there is indeed a waterfall, its just not logical, water would normally fall from top to bottom on that middle section because there is a current of water from one end to the other, BUT there is no horizontal current, only the waterfall. I dont know if I am explaining this correctly, things doesnt work how it should be.

I mean, things work in this world, cars, my computer, but other things, like that river, just doesnt.

I noticed something else, but it sounds less legit (i mean the important thing is that river here), now its with animals, we know that life forms feed on each other, that there is food chain, but i witnessed some things that doesnt hold. For instance, in that river, there are sometimes some ducks, but what do they feed on? I have actually never seen any fish in that river, NEVER, its empty, and the ducks are there often. On the map, I checked if there was some other water zones where the duck would come from and feed there, there is indeed a great lake, but its fat and there is almost no fish or green vegetation. Apperenty they just dont feed on animals but vegetations, and there is only leaves, bushes, do they really feed on that? Maybe I am just blind but they dont look like they do, because there is nothing to feed on for them.

Same with birds, there are tons of birds but no insects, yes its winter, they could hibernate, but they actually sing and move a lot during the whole winter, so they spend their energies, they wouldnt just sit there and wait and let them starve themselves, they are so small, they would be dead in a month ot two, yet, no insects or berries, for the whole winter.

Maybe I am wrong about the animals, I think I am wrong, but that river is totally not working right.

Anything to say about it?

Why don't you take video or pictures of it to validate your impressions, emotions are really inline with what is there? Mind has the habit of 'dramatizing' things. I don't mean to say there are no weird stuff or what some call "All is in your head" etc. But, looking for answers with hard evidence generally gives some data to comment.

Hi Elesia89 :-) Here's an article about what ducks eat, including winter:

Ducks are omnivorous birds which means they will eat a mixture of both plants and animals. They tend to be opportunistic feeders so a duck’s diet will also depend on the habitat they live in, and the food available to them, including food that is meant for human consumption.

Many ducks also vary their diet over the year with some species eating more animal matter during breeding season and spring migration, and more plant matter during the winter and autumn migration. For example, Mandarin ducks eat mostly insects, snails, small fish, and aquatic plants in spring, worms, fish, frogs, molluscs, and small snakes in summer, and acorns and grains in autumn and winter.

And this is about birds in winter:

Wild birds typically eat a variety of things in winter. They are not picky eaters! These include insects, spiders, worms, and other small animals that they search for. Some small birds also eat fruits and vegetables to survive during the cold months. Wild birds will also use their beaks to break open nuts and seeds, which provides them with a rich source of protein.

In general, even during winter birdies can find various insects that are hibernating or hide in various places, like on tree branches, various small crevices, etc.

Regarding the waterfall and "standing" water in the lake, it's hard to understand what you mean, so a video would indeed be good, but here's a video, for example, of a waterfall, and you can see in the back that the water appears to be very still, as if not moving, but in fact it does :-D

Ok well I might be wrong about animals, I just dont see anything. But as for the river, its extra weird, there is no current, I remember in the past I could see water flowing at some high speed, but now its just dead. I will come back and make a video or two.

Well, I realize, I am falling somewhat in subjectivity, because looking at the river bank and seeing it inert made me think there shuldnt be any waterfall, while i knew there was a waterfall, and the thing is that logical because the amount of water from the waterfall is very low so its totally normal if there is the riverbank seems inert.

This like strugling between subjectivity and objectivty and not knowing which is right.

PS : And as for the animals, I basically dont see them, nor watch them doing what they normally do, so I was basically seeing them being 'inert' too. Never mind...
