son had allergic reaction to peanuts

Hi,

My 2 1/2 year old had an allergic reaction to peanut butter today. He is fine now, however I am obviously concerned about it since peanuts are in LOTS of things besides peanut butter! I was wondering if anyone had any information on food allergies and the possibility of "reversing" the condition?
