Soviet sleep experiment

Hello Everyone,
I would like to talk about one of "fake" history - "creepypast" that was created in 2008 or 2009 as far as I know. It's about the soviet sleep experiment where soviet scientists want to test how people work without sleep and use special gas to stop people from falling asleep for 15 days. The text is here:

Altought it isn't true there is some things that could be connected to evil forces, regeneration of soul during sleeping and other "paranormal" things that could be connected with things from C's session. I'm curious about how could people react on leak of sleep for 15 days and whether the effects of not sleeping can be at least slightly connected to the behaviors described in this false story. Thank you for your answers and tips. :-D
 
I didn't sleep for two weeks one time, and my father didn't sleep for a week once. His was related to stress at work and other things that kept him worried. His coworkers noticed him being stiff or groggy and reported it, he got help and slept and haven't had issues with that since, as far as I know.

I can't be sure of how long I was awake as I didn't track time. But it could have been two weeks, and its not the only time, I have been awake for days, and slept as little as two hours between. Nowadays I sleep 3 to 10 hours a night, thought once in a while I stay awake for 2 days, it comes and goes.

Did I experience anything paranormal during the two weeks? Well. I saw like black threads wherever I focused my sight. If I looked on my hands black threads appeared coming out of it, moving wildly, reminding me of spiders, or wherever I looked. Also, when I looked myself in the mirror I saw hair from my body, not like the black threads described, but just what looked like normal hair moving/curling, on my upper chest. Although I have no hair there, normally.
 
I haven't heard of such experiment, but could imagine that such things were tested and not only in the Soviet Republic.

There is a book called Why we sleep and it deals with the very importance why sleep is so important.
