Spinning flywheels said to make greener energy

My dad was a mechanic at Boeing for 45 years and taught me early the power and potency of flywheels and we long marveled why they had not emerged as a means of energy generation. I've come to realize the humanoid rulers have suppressed such advancements since the 50's, but it looks like advanced engineering of common ingenuity could be breaking psychopathic strangleholds.
