State Senator and the silent lab tech.

The Living Force
Sorry if this isn't apropos but I have these Gooberment Rascals comin through work today and they want us to all dress up and wear lab coats for photo ops with these people. I'm not allowed to speak my mind when they come through>>> I'm supposed to smile and say nada. Their democrats even! And it's all about securing more funding from the gooberment so we can expand the center blah blah blah....

I just feel so frustrated, and of course while im at work im being paid to be there and so they can "use me" however they see fit and label it "a part of your job". I was even told that if i did open my mouth i could be out of a job next week, so to "think of it like that". It was a jokingly sort of half-veiled threat from my boss-lady, whom I happen to like a lot, but it still sucks.

I even tried to slink away, but they were like "Hold it, come back, we need you for this...." and when i told them my objections they totally blew em off.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Now im sitting in my office waiting for them to come through so we can take pictures... i guess I'll have to smile too...

Whatever happened to "wise as a serpent, gentle as a dove?"

I can understand your frustration, but with a job like yours, you might need to keep a low profile or excerise external consideration (or play a role).

fwiw.

Yep yep. Was a lil off in the heat of the moment, but i feel much better now. Of course i had just finished reading the latest Kurt Nimmo article and was spreading that around to a few friends, so the timing couldnt have been worse.

edit: it's also interesting to see how my emotional center got pricked. Nice to know it's working.

Ah.

It's that 'Knowledge leads to awareness', and it is interesting that through
awareness you recognize that you and your team had to posture for a
photo-shoot with your "beloved" Senator! At least, you still have your
job!

Take comfort in the fact that you were aware (awake), and also that your
emotional centers were activated again. It's that pesky little 'spidey sense'
(emotion) that is hard to control! ;) Reminds me of Mr. Spock and that
constant ribbing by Doc and Kirk regarding emotions.

I really get a chuckle out of this one! It is a constant reminder of controlling
our selves and as ZS pointed out: "wise as a serpent, gentle as a dove".

OSIT.
