For quite a while now we have been privately voicing our concerns about the
site Womansavers and its owner Stephanie Alexander (nee Poce). Womansavers
was formerly known as Manhaters but the name was changed a couple years
back to soften up the image and draw more members.
We have more than a couple members on our support group who have been
retraumatized, attacked and betrayed by members of Womansavers and
Alexander herself. The latter seems to turn a blind eye to a lot of the drama
and trauma on the site, probably feeling it drives up traffic.
Today 2 members of our (http://cyberpaths.blogspot.com) members who use
firefox got the following message when they went to Womansavers:

Reported Attack Site!
This web site at --womansavers.com-- has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.
Attack sites try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.
Some attack sites intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

We know of people who have repeatedly begged Ms. Alexander to get rid of the invasive
advertising on her site - but she has refused. MOST of this advertising is loaded with spyware
and she is WELL AWARE OF IT.
Additionally, we found that she started Womansavers.org a couple years ago to "help
abused women & shelters." but so far - NO HELP. It appears to be nothing more than
a purposeful tax shelter for Ms. Alexander. Further investigation is underway
We stopped advertising, listing or recommending Womansavers a while ago. We now hope
that anyone who does business with, uses or visits Womansavers will stop. We cannot
be party to a site which preys on its vulnerable members and a site owner who has lied
and abused members herself in her pursuit of money at the expense of abused people.
