Strange altocumulus clouds

Al Today

The Living Force
When at work, I go outside to smoke. That's when I usually clear my mind of daily garbage. I try to just listen, smell and observe what is around me. Sometimes I do some pipe breathing to help clear the mind. Most times I end up cloud watching. I came across a strange altocumulus cloud formation. Look at the supplied picture and try to imagine an almost cloudless day with this rectangular cloud drifting west to east across the sky. It stuck out like a sore thumb. It seemingly had perfectly straight edges and four(4) 90 degree angles forming an apparent "square" rectangle. Straight lines and 90 degree angles. Hold your hands out at arms length, place your thumbs together, palms facing outward and form a square. Like images of what a movie director would do on the set. The length of your index finger pointing upwards would be half the length of that rectangle meandering across the sky, alone. Straight lines and 90 degree angles. I just thought, how cool and odd...

Hi Al, I have seen that kind of clouds twice, the first time there was a tremor in that week. The second chance there was a quake few days before. My grandma used to said that when appear clouds with patters alike there will be a tremor. I don't remember well but I read that there exist studies that tried to link cloud form and patter with quake likelihood as a reflexion of the electromagnetic forces in the crust.

Not sure that's accurate, since we get those clouds here fairly regularly and we don't have quakes.

We get those 'clouds' here in FL after a lot of 'chemtrails', or whatever the heck they are, have been dumped. It seems to take a few hours after the fact for that 'cloud cover' to form.

Looks like regular cirrocumulus to me.

I agree with that comment. Although they do appear less frequently than other high clouds.

My point is that the cloud was a rectangle with 90 degree corners, like a box in shape. Heavily defined straight edges with 90 degree corners. I pasted that web page to illustrate the type of cloud that was Rectangular (square-ish) with no roundness whatsoever..
