I'm inclined to agree with Laura here.
The whole atmosphere around the Sun seems to be in motion, and the artifact appears to be fixed to the central light blocking device.
The only other explanation you could consider is that it is a magnetic plasma event which is casting a shadow on the more brighter atmospheric particles. Some of these can be fairly stable and long lasting.
It may show up on one of the other solar satellite observatories.
