Strange sensation

I've been noticing this happening to me for a handful of years now. On random occasions, I will get these 'cold, electrical' sensations throughout my body. They are semi-painful at times and seem to be like tiny invisible needles poking at my skin. I am not sure if this is some sort of biological/neurological issue or not. Anyone have any insight?

Some websites have said its related to anti-depression meds but I have not taken any in a few years.

Diet is pretty good I believe. I eat a lot of spices and seeds, some vegetables, and a lot of fruit juices and natural soups.

Spices could be a contributor. Most spices are inflammatory. Brain inflammation could be the cause of the kind of physiological responses you are describing.

A lot of people cannot tolerate tree nuts and seed, either.

For protein I eat some dairy, nuts, seeds and some other food sources that slip my mind at present.

Well, the thing is I recall having these 'shocks' several years ago, back when I was still eating junkier food without the spices and all the nuts and seeds.

Hi Flux2012

The thread Enaid has linked is very useful. In there you'll get plenty of information about what foods to eat, what not to, and within the foods that are not inflammatory how to test them so that you know whether they are tolerated or not by your particular body.

Also, it is really worth to have a look at the diet and health section in general. Although you no longer eat junk food, you'll find there that what we have learned (or should I say been brainwashed to believe) to be a good healthy diet, is very far from the true. This is particularly true in how we came to see and demonize saturated fats and meat products.
Since you also mentioned regularly drinking fruit juices, It might be worth for you to do a search on insulin and how fluctuating insulin levels can affect us.
