anyone else live in a suburban neighborhood thats consistently being swarmed by police on patrol or responding to suspicion calls, if your not in work or in school or at home..shopping the police will eventually find out why...

Nope - in suburbia, but so far just the sound of lawnmowers. Are they responding to calls about you?

Seems to me you are quite fearful of police, Torpid. Any particular reason why?

I was remarking on how we've become a society that, out of, fear? effectively watches and polices ourselves, I was just curious as to how bad everyone else's suburbs are as I live in miami and the neighborhoods around here specifically are very class discriminatory, and in my area your liable to have police stop and question you if your out late or out of bounds with normal society, and this program is not instituted for our safety but rather to control us...I say that as real acts of crime in my neighborhood are still regular which are called in by watchdog programs to police stations and one of the police that is so readily available during the morning rush to pull you over on a technicality yet when I visit less metropolitan areas its not nearly as bad, as far as police state intensity.

I know I usually tend to come off wrong but its not intentional :(
