As intended, the iconic smiling pitcher of "Kool Aid" on the new Mother Jones drew my eye to the cover, where I read the bold declaration that "Sugar Kills." Closer inspection reveals that's no sweet smile on that familiar pitcher, but a ghoulish grin instead.
Even better than the cover is the article which extensively chronicles the long history of the sugar industry's suppression of scientific evidence that indeed, sugar kills. (Similar to the history of the suppression of the truth that DMSO cures http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,17014.msg186712.html#msg186712)
Of course, this isn't really "breaking" news. But the article is a good resource for the facts about the health dangers of sugar, as well as the facts about corporate suppression of dietary truth.
