Robert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods. He argues that fructose (too much) and fibre (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin.

It is a very informative and thorough lecture. He shows how Fructose is a poison and basically acts like "alcohol without the buzz". I learnt from this that there is an epidemic of obese six-month olds!
Its an hour and a half long but well worth the time.
