Super Mario Brothers The movie

Hi All,
I just wanted to say that another movie that I happened to watch ‘out of the blue’ which surprisingly had some esoteric stuff in it was “Super Mario Brothers the movie.” I thought it was interesting because it has bearing to ideas of hyperdimentional beings taking over our world. And what is funny they even introduced the idea that the hyperdimentional being (Lord Koopa) was also bringing these oaf looking over-sized characters who were genetically made to obey their masters which sort of represented the Nephalim. The movie of course received horrible reviews and I have met very few people who actually understood the ‘hidden’ massages.

I saw that movie just last week too! It's so funny because one of the kids pulled it out of the old videos and plugged it in - I don't even know what possessed me to watch it. But, like you, I couldn't believe what I was seeing...

And to think it's been out there for a long time for our kids to see

Sorry but... Esoteric stuff in Super Mario ? The Movie ? Even if the plot, as described above, is loosely based on some esoteric concepts, it's also and foremost a very bad movie.

FWIW I liked that movie, and also the games :P. Coincidentally I was thinking about the movie for some reason or another recently. I never really thought about an esoteric view of it, but thought it was cool with the mystical portal to another world.

wow, I saw this movie as a kid and would've never thought of any underlying themes.

I just remember at the time being so disappointed with how they brought the Mario Bros video game to the screen.

Wow, who would have thought of all the movies and stories that Super Mario's gonna have that?

Sorry but... Esoteric stuff in Super Mario ? The Movie ? Even if the plot, as described above, is loosely based on some esoteric concepts, it's also and foremost a very bad movie.

Can't it be both? I think it could both contain some esoteric things in it and still be a very bad movie? With a script like that, you probably can't get a big budget to support it enough to hire totally professional people.
