Supraventricular tachycardia

Since age of 9 I had problems with tachycardia.
It often begins without any specific reason, but sometimes it comes when I feel ,,something something in the air''. I've always been much sensitive.
I had been on lots of examinations but doctors always said my heart is very strong and healthy. In one measured case my pulse was about 230 bpm when they gave me Izoptin.
I never took any medications 'cause it could mostly been solved with handstand maneuver.
What do You think about that?
Now it is solved much faster with pipe breathing, luckily.
Generally I am careful with food intake wich means no gluten( longer than 1.5 year), no sugar, no processed food. I drink filtered water and herb teas, no caffeine.
I eat meat for 5 months now, since i was vegan(fruits and nuts mostly).
Further I'll make sure to avoid carb intake.
My food supplements are multivitamin and minerals, fish oil and magnesium chloride.

Grammar :-[

I think pipe breathing is a great way to get the problem under control. Maybe after a couple of sets of 12 pipe breaths try a little bit of round breathing? By the way, do you practice EE regularly?

One more question: you use magnesium chloride trans-dermally (on skin), right? It is not recommended to use it orally. Just for your information.

Don't assume that something is bad with you, be gently with a diet and just observe your body. Use magnesium malate or citrate. I use magnesium citrate 550-775mg per day. Take note of magnesium stearate in the supplements, is bad.

Quitting coffee and taking a good mineral supplement helped me. Also, Omega 3 fish oil and extra potassium now and again. And I had those palpitations for YEARS. Haven't had a one in about 3 years now. (What about dairy? That can really set me off!)

Arrhytmia in young people should be followed carefully. If you have persisting attacks, you might want to follow up on this. There are some rare conditions that makes young people prone to arrythmias, like re-entry loops in the heart and even rarer things like Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia or Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Myopathia. Here is a link to some information about ARVD and arrhytmias:

_http://www.arvd.com/q_a.html

Patients with a tendency for arrythmias should avoid exercising to the maximum of their capability, but focus on stamina-strengthening exercise without achieving more than 80-85 % of the maximum pulse rate (220 minus one's age). If you haven't already done so, have an EKG taken under exercise, and an ultrasound of the heart. There are a growing number of genetic markers discovered each year that to some degree predicts the risk for developing these conditions, and this can be checked via a blood sample.

I never liked caffeine/tein anyway. I quit dairy parallel with gluten.
I will try with extra potassium also magnesium citrate.
List of my food intake includes mostly beef(I can't stand pork from my immemorial time), calves liver and heart, grassfed fat, eggs, occasionaly rabbit, olive and coconut oil, mostly theese spices: coriander, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, thyme, rosemary, clove, parsley, sea salt.
When I'm anxious I crave lots of dried fruits, but I will avoid it in future.
I've rarely had attacks during exercise...anyway I was going to ask for some blood tests, since I do not know my blood type also.
Thank you for the link, Hithere, thank you Laura! :)

Aside from what Hithere posted (which should be carefully considered), there's some info in the paleo diet books (cited in "Life Without Bread" thread I think), about palpitations, etc. and it's possible relation to insulin spiking from carbs. That would be why you would crave high carb dried fruits which would only keep the cycle going. Breaking the carb metabolism cycle needs to be done carefully for many people.

You might also try eliminating ALL herbs for a few weeks and then introduce them one by one, waiting three days after each, to see if they are causing a reaction. Same with eggs. Many, many people are sensitive to eggs. I couldn't eat them at all for over two years. Now I can have one occasionally, because the reaction is mild and if I don't eat them two days in a row, I can accommodate.

DO read ALL of the "Life Without Bread" thread.

I would like to share my last attack experience with you!
Today at early morning(about 5:15) i woke up with discomfort feeling inside, terrible nausea and in next moment i realized i had a rapid heartbeat. I have had hot and stuffy sensation all over so i opened the window, sit on the floor trying to breathe(pipe) and relax in order to stop tachycardia. It wasn't working , then i tried my handstand tactic with breath holding then again breathing, for about 4 times- but nothing! I called my mother and we both agreed i should go to hospital. On the way driving there, attack stopped by itself while i was telling her my theory of the impact of all Events on my energy centres! Didn't mention it so far, but my mother also Knows.
Anyway, medical examination was performed, ECG was fine, 82 bpm, everything normal including pressure 110/70 mmHg, they only told me i'm pale, but such is my natural tan
and that it would be good if they could capture ECG during the attack, of course. Classical!
Then when we got back home i was only physically exhausted and went back to sleep again. After 5h I awoke, mother came to check me out and said my eyes looked strange, they were completely lizard like, green and blurry, otherwise they are bright, blue/green, dominated by blue.
Accordingly, I'm pretty sure that causes of this are not entirely physical nature, no matter what anyone said.
I shortened the story as much as possible.
I feel well now.

Hi,
i would like to share my recent bodily conditions accompanied by almost continuous three-day heart palpitations and also to hear your stands and opinions about it.
As i came back from my summer job adventure about a mont ago, which is another theme to write at another forum section, my imune system has failed overall and i felt totally exhausted physically and mentally, to my misfortune, or perhaps fortunately?
At the middle of nights i have felt nauseos overall, pain in chest and arrhythmia, but it would pass after deep breathing or calming prayer.
Honestly, i felt either attacked or reliving and filtering everything that I have experienced in a terrible snake enviorment i've been to. Since i got out of there, i smoked tobacco mixed with thyme, to help me relax 'cause my sensitivity became stronger than ever.
The same happening was at the evening of 22. 07. while nauseous palpitations were accompanied with feeling of choking so i couldnt even do any of EE stuff, the worst trap ever! I became hysterical, crying, laughing, punching
the pillows...That time all calmed down 'by itself'.
Another night( interesting - always at night) the situation has deteriorated- tachycardia, fever, nausea, headache, fatigue and pain in chest like the elephant is sitting on me.
My diet didn't changed much, strict paleo diet with added L-ascorbic acid, magnesium and fish oil, but i was sick anyway.
I ended up in hospital primarly because tachycardia lasted for hours(about 170 bpm). Doctors gave me Isoptin in the vein, heart calmed down and i should went home in the morning.
In that lovely morning, another atack, another intervention;
after that again and after again again, four times in one day.
Doctors suspected on some infection somewhere, got blood and urine tests, x-ray of chest and sinuses, also ultrasound of the heart, and every finding was fine.
Again, my state confused all doctors- everything is fine, but i felt like i'm dying.
I'm lucky my mom works in hospital kitchen so i had only meat, ham, bone broth and lettuce.
I got better after four days of agony and went home on complete recovery.
The main thing is the fact that doctors agreed electrophysiology(http://www.nghs.com/electrophysiology) of the heart for me for three weeks from now, and i'm wandering what result it will have on the whole system.
Thank you for reading, any comments are welcome!

There is direct evidence that DECT cordless phone radiation can nearly double the heart rate of some people. Tachycardia can also be caused by cell phone radiation and other EMFs. Depends on your degree of electrosensitivity. This may not be a cause in your case but it could be a trigger for another underlying condition.

Hi lux12,

Have you ever tried psychotherapy? The tachycardia and other symptoms you mention do also relate with a strong sympathetic nervous system response associated with stress or a post-traumatic stress disorder. So if you are already taking care of the diet aspect you may want to go for the psicological too.

Yes, LQB, cordless and cell phones are pretty much around me and it's inescapably, so their and other EMFs are sporadic accelerators for the heart. Interesting is that i had attacks also at days of major solar flares/coronal bursts, very intensive ones- all these radiations are surely the triggers.

Ana,
i tried psychotherapy four years ago, but without any result because our old school therapists are too much limited in understanding.
Today in capital city could be therapists with deeper and wider approach to patients, maybe. That is not necessary now, anyway.
Much things from childhood and other subconscious stuff are persistently rising to the surface, so i started with big cleaning of my house.
Indeed, for a long time, regardless of Knowledge, a child in me wasn't ready and mature enough to confront with trauma.
I should finally Know how to help myself by support and study material from here.
Thank you for reminding me!

You may indeed be electrosensitve in which case it is important for you to avoid exposure as much as possible. A high priority for you would be to get rid of any cordless/wireless in the house (including cell phones). This would extend to reducing any other body/neurological stressors associated with toxins, diet, and mental stress. Detox, EE, and diet adjustments are good tools. It would make good sense for you to read the Life Without Bread thread in the Health section and move gradually to a ketogenic diet (KD) as discussed in the Keto thread. The current research there is showing great neurological benefit and healing from the KD. You've got a lot of reading ahead of you if you haven't kept up with these threads. :)
