'Regalship' Svärdet was lost in the same battle as Kronan(also a 'regal' and the admirals ship) in 1676

Thanks, looks in remarkable shape given its time underwater.

Here is a little English background to the historical wreck.

In June 1676, a great naval battle took place outside Öland on the Swedish east coast. Several great warships perished in the furious battle, among them the now famous Cronan. Cronan was discovered by Anders Fransén in 1980. However, the second largest ship of the Swedish navy and one of the world's most powerful warships at that time, the Sword, is yet to be discovered. Discovering the Sword remains one of Ocean Discovery's main objectives.

The search for the admirals lost fleet

On August 8th, 1980, Cronan was located by Anders Franzén, the man who discovered the world renown wreck of Vasa. The wreck of Cronan was found at a depth of 26 m, 4 nautical miles due East of the village Hulterstad on SE Öland. The discovery and later excavation have been of international interest and have uncovered invaluable information and discoveries to maritime archeologists.

The regal ship Svärdet, almost equal in size and strength, sunk during the same battle under more heroic circumstances, is still to be discovered. [until now][ Even more intriguing and covered in mist is the wreck of the regal ship Mars or Makalös which sank during battle in the late

16th century. This once proud admiral ship was even bigger and mightier than Cronan and was painted completely white armed with 200 bronze canons outgunning by far any rivals on the sea.

Here's something about Kronan ___http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kronan_%28ship%29. She was among the biggest(if not the) man of war at the time which really says alot when you had the English, French, Dutch(in that order) to compete with. She was planned to carry 126 guns, Svärdet took 86, a big ship but not extraordinarily big like Cronan...

Makalös(Mars) was found earlier this year before Svärdet. ___http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_%28ship%29 And she most certainly was not as big as Cronan and about being painted all white I don't know, seriously doubt it though...
About the armament, lets say 100+ were heavy guns and the rest (about 70) where light(anti personnel) falconettes. Among the biggest of here time though. The swedish wiki contain more info btw.
And this was all nitpicking ;)

No they sure don't :D

Yeah, but one wonders where the original writers get their "intel" from, because it's really low standard, not to say incorrect. ;)
