Synaptic Pruning

I am happy to see that naps are even more beneficial :)
I would add that besides thinking what needs to be done prior to sleep, you can do autosuggestion: speak(loudly) what you need to be remembered/deleted. Maybe it's just placebo, but it helps as well.

There was another article I read a year or so back that touched on the brain clearing toxins out while you're in deep sleep. The article was mainly about different sleeping patterns that people use to cover their sleep requirements, such as the 6 hour night with a 20 minute mid day nap.

This gives a better illustration to me as to how mindful consideration and intent are important factors to consider when lulling into sleep. I appreciate the post.

Thanks for posting this Sow, very interesting article! I am currently reading Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Dispenza and he talks about synaptic pruning and how neurons that fire together wire together. Seems like lots of interesting research is being done in the field of neuroscience.
