The shark which has injured four and killed one tourist during last week was caught early this morning when Serbian tourist jumped on it from the cliff near the beach, Egypt Ministry of Tourism said.
The Ministry said Serbian turist was under the influence of alcohol when he decided to jump in the sea and he landed straight on the shark killing it instantly.
- Although the tourist from Serbia overwhelmed dangerous beast by pure chance, Ministry of tourism is extending thanks on the behalf of the whole country and all holiday makers currently visiting , for liberating us from this monster. He is the hero that saved this year's end of tourist season, ministry says.
Shark's body was taken to forensic lab and it was proven this was the very shark that was terrorizing Egypitan summer resort and was dubbed Shark El Sheik.
Egyptian coast guards attempts to catch the shark remain futile for the entire week, but unnamed Serbian tourist killed it instantly when he jumped in the sea after drunken night out in the town. The News reporters didn't manage to get in touch with accidental hero since he is currently in hospital where he is recovering from alcohol intoxication. Instead we managed to get in touch with Milovan Ubiparip (27), one of his friends who was at the scene during the shark incident. Ubiparip says his friend Dragan Stevic had a lot to drink that night and at one point they decided to take a walk.
- We left the nigth club around 4 AM, it was already dawn and we decided to take a walk before going to sleep. The cliff looked very interesting every since we came here but we never managed to climb it. This time we reached the edge and took few picture when Dragan said : "hold this beer and watch!" and then he run towards the edge and jumped. I didnt have time to stop him.
When I looked over the edge I heard him shouting and saw him but I couldnt hear clearly. It turned out he fell on something much harder then water and sprained his ankle. We didnt have a clue it was a shark, we found out from morning newspaper- Ubiparip said for the News.
Egyptian Goverment will, according to unofficial sources. grant Stevic and Ubiparip voucher for free vacation over next 10 years and they will also get their stars in the Street of Serbo- Egyptian friendship. The shark was supposed to be stuffed and displayed in the natural history museum but it turned out the damage to its body was too excessive.
