I just finished watching this documentary:

'Tears of Gaza' (2010), regarding the Israel invasion of Gaza at the beginning of 2009. It can be found complete on this link:

It is one of the most powerful documentaries I've ever watched, if not the most. Highly recommended. But be warned, it is very hard to watch.

So much death, destruction and despair. The three dead children with close range entry wounds sums it all up, just like in Syria. What goes around comes around, Israel will reap what it has sowed, sooner rather than later.

'Tears of Gaza' indeed.

Thank you for posting Windmill knight will watch and pass around. While these genocidal events were being carried out, the coinciding economic spike drop (fall/winter 2008) slammed into the world - not many people noticed what was being done in Gaza and if they did, their minds were preoccupied.

A short animated film once featured here is a reminder too.

I couldn't stop crying while watching this. This is an illustration of pure evil at work, and the unimaginable sufferings, horror, and grief the Palestinians have had to experience.

This documentary shows also clear and irrefutable evidence of how phosphorous artillery was used, how even the UN-school was attacked, and how small innocent children were brutally murdered and shot at close range.

I can't imagine what it must be like for the children to be afraid all the time and watch the family members being blown up to pieces. They must be severely traumatized, with little hope of living any kind of "normal" life.

A totally heart wrenching documentary, the haunted look in those childrens eyes speaks volumes. Old and life weary well before their time. :(. I couldn't help but notice the sub-title - The War They Don't Show You, perhaps a more appropriate characterization would be - The deliberate targeting and killing of children that they don't want you to see.

Yes, it is absolutely heart-crushing. It is pure horror. I also couldn't stop crying when the children were telling their stories. That poor girl who couldn't finish talking and fell on her knees, and the other at the very end who confessed she wished she had gone with her siblings to look for the ambulance that night - the ones that got shot by the Israeli soldiers. Oh how much I wish that every single adult on this planet was required to watch this, so that Israel's extraordinary cruelty and monstruous hypocrisy be exposed for all to see. I wish I could protect those children from the next round of carnage. But I can't.

A human tragedy too inhuman, or the opposite.
These are not only the tears of Gaza, but of all the innocent victims from insane wars which are killing us all, one way or another.

We can't do much to protect them, except that we may at least share...

Indeed tragic, heart wrenching documentary! Thanks for sharing Windmill knight.

I hope that is ok.

I watched it yesterday morning, and agree with what others said. It's hard to watch, you'll be crying and sobbing, but it's worth persisting through it.

Having watched this tonight, word cannot convey my anger, their mere useless. This is been going on far too long and want to just scream, yet worse, who is listening, who cares - not many. While the economic collapse of December/January 08/09 was unraveling, who would notice and care in the west, the Israelis pathological war council must have thought, if we send them another message.

The Palestinians live on the doorstep of a hive full of wasps; and am not talking about Jewish people, am talking about the beasts who lead them. The first casualty globally of this long ago genocidal mess was our very death of awareness and solidified public and political will to counteract.

Here are a few words from the Palestinians themselves from the film.

A child holding a picture frame of his dead father, pictures are all they have left - there is no more “how are you” from their fathers lips.

Of bombing, it’s the “Almadhoon” family – “oh my god they are young!” An older woman says – “no compassion, no mercy” as the Israeli military ransacks the neighbourhood.

Two young girls watch in horror as a missile takes their parents from them; they are stepping on bodies.

At 38 minutes, there is phosphorus air bursts. A father will try to explain for the rest of his life to his daughter why she is covered with burns – “I don’t know, I don’t know. God grant me the patients. There is no forgiveness, where can I get forgiveness from? Forgive those who kill little children?”

A mother screams “They are inhuman."

A young girl racked in pain, at loss is comforted. “She is memorizing, memorizing…” The young boy again; “I dream of becoming a doctor…on those who need it...I want to help them.”

Big hugs to the Palestinian people. :hug2:

Just remembered something the young boy right near the beginning said while reciting what has been taught of god of that faith, “Show us the straightway”.

Indeed how confusing for a child living in a in a war torn community, now parentless, hearing what they hear, seeing what they see, all the while looking for some sense at finding “the straightway”. The oppressors however have no consciousness of what that could be and will deny them trying to establish it.

I think it's quite admirable that after going through that they seem to retain their sense of humanity quite intact. They keep their religious values, common sense and care for others. The boy comments he wants to become a doctor to help those injured by the Israelis. One of the girls says she wants to be a lawyer to take the Israelis to court. And the other comments that "life is very hard, very hard", and the tone of her voice and the expression on her face are those of an old and wise person, not a 12 year old.

I haven't cried this much in a long long time, what a powerful documentary. This is the world we live in, and the entire system that we feed supports this.. I find myself wishing for the comets to just hurry the hell up.

Their strength is absolutely amazing, they truly value the little things that they have left. Seeing the realness and humanity in their eyes in the face of all this horror is inspiring.. The way the children speak, the facial expressions and attitude, it's as if they are old and wise as you said.
