Thanksgiving has, despite its correlation with the genocide of a people, and slaughter of millions of animals (okay, I guess that happens regardless of the holiday, but I'm a vegetarian. so I can talk maybe?), has remained probably my favorite popular holiday celebrated in the US. I like the idea of a harvest festival, no requirement to buy all sorts of junk, showing whose gifts/etc. is better, just cooking some food with loved ones. It's not as corrupted as say, Christmas or Easter (total sick bag alert on those days) So- what am I thankful for? Laura and the whole SOTT team, writers and editors, and everyone participating here on the forum. I haven't made that much progress on the 4th way, but at least I know about it and am trying. There's some point to existence now, and I will be forever grateful. All of the works of Gurdjieff, Mouravieff, Lobaczewski, Castaneda, Naomi Klein, Martha Stout, etc., etc., etc. I doubt I would have found out about, much less have reference for understanding these materials at all.
Cheers and a (hand-rolled organic NAS ciggy) to everyone! (And a donation)
