The Cabin In The Woods.

Jedi Master
Saw this today, and i think forum members would be intrested in this.

*Spoilers*
**WARNING**

It starts with a group of 5 teenagers going to a Cabin in the woods (suprise suprise).
This is where it changes. These kids are chosen beforehand and monitored.
Theres this CIA type place that is using this Cabin to harvest fear from humans and blood. Once they enter a certain distance in the woods, the 'Grid' shuts them in.
It becomes a game, with the humans working for CIA controlling the events to a degree - its a ritual sacrifice, and has to be done in a certain order. Whats intresting is that they seem to be aware that their bosses are non-human.
At the end of the film, (Because the ritual didnt go to plan) the 'ancient gods' (who have hidden underground as long as their hunger for fear/blood is saftisfied) rise out.
Also - Its intresting that the events in the house seem to dictacte the outcome of other horrific events across the world - as if they are all connected somehow.

****Spoilers End****

This film reminds me of a whole load of other films - like Monsters Inc, Hunger gamers, and The Trueman show, aswell as horrors like Evil dead.

I saw the commercials for this movie and it reminded me of the Cube which I vowed never to watch again. Sounds like the same type of premise - humans being used as an experiment for shadow government - for their sick enjoyment / research into the minds of humans.

I'm betting The Cabin in the Woods is pretty gory too. right?

Yeah, lots of mindless gore tbh. Im not sure why i bothered mentioning it, because its hardly news that some truths (or possible truths) are thrown in front of our faces on the TV is it, lol.

I can't remember "The Cube" very well, but i was attracted to it as it was made by the same guy who did Donnie Darko.

Edit - Spelling faults.
