I was emailed a story by Families Against Mandatory Minimums, http://www.famm.org/, although I cannot find this story at their site. Here is the pertinent part of it:

$2 Million of LSD Seized by DEA
Enough LSD to make approximately 200,000 dosage units

DEC 3 -- (WATSONVILLE, CA) - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Javier F. Pena announces the seizure of enough Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) to make approximately 200,000 dosage units (approximately 20 grams) and the arrest of four individuals in relation to the investigation. Agents also seized 5 lbs of marijuana, 9 gold coins, 3 silver bars, over $13,000 US Currency and a suspected hash conversion laboratory from a Watsonville residence.

Note that this story, along with the recent Liberty Dollar raid, points out a law enforcement trend, with full media complicity, in lumping the precious metals together with drugs and other unsavory items. This is an obvious psyop underway. I can imagine that we will be seeing more of this sort of reporting as the economy erodes further - and more people begin to consider protecting their liquid assets with something of intrinsic value.

The subliminal message is that you will not be allowed to utilize "real money" to escape the economic take down. The precious metals are now being shifted toward classification as contraband... right up there with Class A drugs.... the preferred asset of anarchists, druggies and terrorists.

There was a instance of something similar with the one-time Australian Attorney General Philip Ruddock describing 120 gigabytes of data seized in the Haneef case. Here's the spin......

http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2007/s1974332.htm

PHILIP RUDDOCK: Something of the order of 120 gigabytes of computer data is being examined. And as I said at the weekend, that's the equivalent of 31,000 single page documents. So, it gives you an order of magnitude, and it's one of the reasons that the matter takes so long.
Two average computers were seized One 180gb and one 40gb. Thing is a prettyy well normal computer these days and would include photos, music etc etc.
