The Emptied Soul: On the Nature of the Psychopath

Yes, I've read it. It's generally okay, but Guggenbuhl-Craig still clings to the notion that psychopaths are just humans with problems. Note that he calls his book "The EMPTIED Soul" rather than "Creatures With No Soul".

Yep that's exactly how GC presents the problem. Damage control maybe????

Read it and did not find much useful in the book. Hare and Cleckley offer much more insight and information. The book is only "worth the read" if you want to know what the differing "professional" opinions are. And, of course, there's a wealth of information at this site, SotT, along with suggestions for further reading. :)

I figured something like that from other web references I read. He also wrote it in the late 70s (came out in Germany in 1980).

Yep. Not through those yet so I shall continue there first.

Thanks for the input.
