A Disturbance in the Force
Hi...I'm new to the forum so please bare with me.
About a month ago, I had the strangest dream. To this day, I'm torn between whether or not it was a real experience due to how intense it seemed and felt. Here goes my dream:
I was back in my mother's house sleeping in my old room when I realized that I was being watched. Trying to figure out what was going on, I looked about the room and discovered a short human-like figure hiding in the shadows in the corner of my room. I knew deep down that it wasn't human. The figure was dark and it had no hair. It was also as if it had no mouth but either way, I became very frightened and tried to call out to my mom for help. I feared that this...thing...was there to harm me.
As I attempted to scream, I couldn't. It wasn't that I had lost my voice or anything. Something was preventing the sound from escaping my throat and my mouth was invisibly forced shut. No matter how hard I tried, I could not open my mouth or let the screams out. As this is happening, it felt as if I was going back and forth into realities because one minute I was in my old room and the next I was in my own apartment having the same difficulties. At the same time, however, I became very aware of me not being able to have any control of myself. I also could not move. After a few minutes of trying to call out to my mother for help, I began to get really pissed off and grew very upset at being this helpless. I literally wanted to fight. All I kept thinking was that I'm going to kick that thing's butt if it came near me. I tried so hard to wake up. I felt myself struggling in my bed fighting to make a sound. I felt and heard myself producing these muffled sounds fighting to scream out. It was only then did I broke free of what was happening to me and I woke up exhausted wondering what the hell just happened to me and I also checked by my closet to make sure that I was alone.
That was my dream or experience.
Please, I'd like to hear any explanations for what happened to me and if anyone has ever been through anything like this. I've heard of people not being able to move after waking up but this sounds a little bit different.
