The Greatest Truth Never Told

The Living Force
Been watching "The Greatest Truth Never Told". I haven't seen it mentioned here or the author Chris Duane and it's well worth a watch. He begins by introducing the idea of an imminent economic collapse and comparing our situation and people against those before and during the Great Depression of the 20s (in the US), basically showing how for the most part we're far less resilient. Then there's this part where he goes through the stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance) as a way of showing where most of us are at in our we respond and see the world (basically still in the denial stage) and the benefits of being a a position of acceptance (as that's where we can only start changing things for ourselves and others, otherwise we likely just to do more harm).

All the while he starts forming the backdrop into a pretty comprehensive discussion of psychopathy, what a psychopath is, how we spot it, and where we'll find the most dangerous psychopaths. I think he's getting on to his postion about his version of solution, not watched yet all (as the movie's rather long), but thought I'd post about it anyway, as so far, especially after getting through the beginning which did draw out a little for me, I'm quite impressed.

I think a few things he says in the first 10 minutes kind of gives it away:

1: 26 in the vid said:
the greatest truth never told is that humanity has been consistently enslaved over and over again throughout history and that we can be free the moment we wish to be free

3:22 said:
With the mathematically inevitable collapse of the dollar, all of humanity will be freed from consumerism, narcissism and militarism. Once freed, humanity will have the knowledge, incentive and the ability to communicate these ideas of freedom as a way forward.

All know the way but few actually walk it. I have gone through this journey of awakening.

Etc, etc..I don't mean to throw the baby out with the bathwater but these and more raised red flags for me.

And even if he seems to have a good approach (he also says he doesn't 'claim he has all the answers and that most of the ideas presented are not his'
and he urges the viewer to question everything, even everything he says, to research it and exercise critical thinking)

It just seems to me like he watched every video on youtube on the various subjects and then presents his conclusions in a 4 hour and 40 minute-long video which I would rather not watch all the way through...

The person who published the video is one Cameron Mottus who lived in Alberta, Canada and moved to New Zealand (here is his webpage blog _http://www.atheistnexus.org/profile/CameronMottus) - he is also featured @ _http://planet.infowars.com/groups/cameron-mottus/calendar/

I had a similar reaction from the beginning, there seemed to be a bit of arrogance, it started to come together a lot more when he started talking about psychopathy, which was about 2 hours in (linked directly here): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmDU_1sUXik#t=2h00m01s

Thanks for pointing that out, alkhemst, as exposing psychopaths is one of the most important things he could have done and he did it.

Having said that, I still don't think watching the whole thing - picking the little bacon pieces out of a salad - is worth it.

There's a lot of information on this forum, a lot of material that is discussed that deserves much more attention than this video imo.
