The Letter: Age 24:

VIFury

The Force is Strong With This One
Hi everyone, hear this,

I was on the phone with my sister having a regular conversation on everything that comes to mind, out of the blue she mentioned about a letter that she had gotten in the mail at the age of 24. It was stating that she was selected as a candidate to be part of a secret society that many presidents and high society people were a part of, and if she joined she would have access to wealth and power, but she had to join within a time frame. Being the careful person that she is, she threw the letter away, said her gut feeling was it was something Evil. Now here's the funny part, I also got the same type of letter at the age of 24, saying the same thing, didn't know anyone else got it, they made it sound so exclusive. I also threw it away(first going through, Mr. P. Shredder). Apparently after no response we both had gotten a backup letter a week or so later stating something like

Unfortunately we can't recall the name of the society nor where the letter came from, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen such a letter.

I must admit, not being on the higher side of the society the offer was tempting and I didn't sense any good intentions behind it but I say "let your conscience be your guide" and mine told me "don't trust it" sooo I didn't.
Mind you, she is 4yrs older than I am and definitely took different paths in life.

Real exclusive secret society? or a simple A mail scam?

What are your thoughts on this one?

Hi VIFury,

Hard to tell without more info although personally, I would probably assume it's a scam. Since you read the letter, perhaps you might be able to find it here. :)

Thanks for that link that may come in handy some day but the letters we got came in the mailbox not email. and I should also add that we weren't living together at the time she got her letter and mines, she was in the islands when she got hers and I got mines two yrs back here in Florida. I really wish I had kept that letter to give more info on it :-[ if only I hadn't been  then... :cool2: go figure!

Ok I've checked those links out, very interesting indeed!
Although they seem very similar I don't believe that those are what we had gotten. I do believe it was a scam letter more now than before though. I will keep searching to find out more, this is fun! If I find it I will post it ;D wish me luck!
