Ok US people. Gather some SOTT flyers and march to the Pentagon this Saturday. Take pictures and you can come here to report what took place, because we can't trust the media, they always downplay the protesters' numbers ;)

The march on the Pentagon

Introducing the March on the Pentagon
Saturday, March 17, 2007

~ 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 march on the Pentagon ~
~ 4th anniversary of the start of the Iraq war ~
~ Where we will assemble on March 17th ~

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was "From Protest to Resistance," and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.

In the coming days and weeks, thousands of organizations and individuals will begin mobilizing for the upcoming March on the Pentagon. Organizing committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people to the March on the Pentagon.

We will assemble at 12 noon at 23rd St. and Constitution Ave. NW. Click here for more information.

And if you are not convinced, this blogger does a good job why all who can should be there next saturday. And remember that the only thing pathocracy fears, is the lot of non-psychopathic people getting together against them.

End the War Now!
Impeach Bush for War Crimes!
No Attack on Iran! Why should you spend Saturday March 17 marching on the Pentagon?

*Your government has committed war crimes, is about to commit more, and you have the responsibility to stop them. The march will send a message to the people of the world, who cannot see our anti-war bumper stickers, or feel our individual outrage.

YOUR GOVERNMENT, on the basis of outrageous lies, is waging a murderous and utterly illegitimate war in Iraq, with other countries in their sights.

In the face of November’s election results showing people want an end to the war on Iraq, and with the occupation of Iraq going very badly, George Bush has expanded that war and is planning new crimes against Iran. A Pentagon panel has been created to lead a bombing attack on Iran within 24 hours of getting the go-ahead from Bush. Bush, Cheney, and Rice say that “all options are on the table in dealing with Iran, and that includes dropping nuclear bombs, allegedly to stop Iran from developing them.

It is the urgent responsibility of people living in the United States to demand and end of the war on Iraq, and to STOP an attack on Iran. The Bush regime cannot be allowed to bring about even more destruction to the world and further inflame the Middle East with civil and religious war. We must show that the outrages committed by the Bush regime, from Iraq to New Orleans, are not being done in our name. We won’t accept war crimes!

*The march will clearly demand the removal of the Bush regime now. 2008 is too late!

People who steal elections and believe they’re on a “mission from God will not go without a fight. There is not going to be some savior from the Democratic Party.

George Bush is doubling down and widening this war, creating his own “facts on the ground by attacking Iran and forcing Congress to accept it – as they have all along. This disastrous dynamic is not going to stop - this war will not end and the next one be prevented, unless people refuse to be complicit with Bush’s deadly logic and imperialist ambitions to recast the whole world. The Bush regime has promised this war will last generations. It must stop by our actions, now.–>

The Democratic Party leaders are not going to stop any of this, having spent two months failing to get a decisive vote on even a non-binding resolution. It’s up to us to create new realities on the ground: hundreds of thousands, acting for millions, who speak for ourselves, in a movement demanding that all this be brought to a halt, repudiating this whole direction, and taking history into our hands.

*Marching together, visible to millions, we can unlock the growing ferment on the campuses, among the military veterans, bringing into motion a new dynamic.

So buy your ticket, clear your schedule, do whatever you can to be in Washington on March 17, and bring others, marching across the bridge with a huge and determined crowd towards the Pentagon. In 1967, such a march began to turn the public against the Vietnam War. Now, the stakes are much higher.

Join Howard Zinn and thousands of military veterans, Cindy Sheehan and Gold Star and other military families, in delivering this message: We will not accept war crimes! The people of the world are depending on us! Do all you can to keep us from having to mark the start of a sixth year of endless war on the world.

good idea Irini. If people can't make it to D.C., there's demonstrations all over the country this weekend. I'll be going to one in my New England hometown - with Sott flyers in hand!

Are there any demonstrations taking place in London? Is there a SOTT flyer template that I could download off the internet and print?
