The Overseer at Giza

Out in the quarry at the Great Pyramid. There I was, down in latest block excavated, checking the corner relief of the vertical and horizontal cuts, with the overseer casting two parallel shadows down the vertical sides. I looked up and saw his the fringes of his blue cap as the sun was directly behind him. i looked again at the chamferred relief cut and saw the orangish-pink granite-like rock. How smooth and polished it was, and so vivid the coloration.
A nice snapshot scene to fall asleep by.

That reminds me of a dream I had some time ago.

In the first part of the dream I felt, or was aware of the fact that I was in the wrong time, I knew that I didn`t belong to the time, and was confused and distressed about getting back to the "right" time.

I was wondering what the hell am I doing here, am I a slave!

Everywhere were huge blocks of stone of different colors, and men as well as women were touching them, nodding heads and looking at them like they knew exactly what to do.
Someone yelled, who will be a carver, and someone else shooed me away saying go, go to this class. The "class" was outside and everyone was sitting on the ground.

The teacher was saying, you do not have to retain "any" of this, if you don`t like being a carver you may learn something else, as you know. And he began to put everyone into a hypnotic trance!

I jumped awake right at that point, but remember thinking.. wow, no wonder nobody remembers how the pyramids were built, everyone was hypnotized to do a job perfectly, but when they were awakened, would have no recollection of how they did it!

Makes ya wonder though, Tower of Babel type technologies at work..or just a weird dream?

Sorry, I never got the chance to reply (illness carried my life off to another area).
How time flies!
I was not aware of how they were cut, but I was aware of how important my task was in making the final check before the next block was inserted, and that I lived in a very peaceful and harmonious time. I shall try to return there and get further info.

Again, sorry for the delay (3 years, sheesh!)
On hands and knees, in a series of blocks, where both to the left & right of me, as well as ahead, were blocks already emplaced. Sky was a gorgeous blue behind the overseer, then I looked down at the corner formed by the block I was on and the block ahead of me and checked for 90 degrees with my metal square.
