It's horrible zin I know :( thanks for the articles. It also reminds me about "Suicide Squad," we went to see it with the family and sharing comments after seeing it, it was pretty disturbing, I understand it comes from a comic and all, but at a point I did feel they were trying to "normalize" the psycho behaviour, mainly from The Joker and Harley Quinn...

Also the title rings a bell dunno "The Election Year"? I mean everything that is going on right now in the US..

This kind of ponerized entertainment really helps bring out all the psycho's doesn't it? Creating some kind of sub-culture for psychopaths to find better ways to express themselves.
 
Isn't this another old concept? I remember an old episode of the original Star Trek that utilized this concept... when they were on another planet in time? or something. THe idea seems to fit along with certain other 'carefree' or jubilee event... perhaps even the original Mardi Gras? Along another avenue is the use of certain periods of a year or ? in which all debt is forgiven/released.

Well... I meant it in a way that these activities aren't sensible, or not "chosen in accordance with wisdom or prudence; likely to be of benefit."

I agree however, that this certainly appears to be the way things are going.
 
I disliked this movie sooo much, it was so badly made, the plot awful, and the many implisit messages in it were so negative.
It was wrong in so many ways, i sat through it feeling i died in another dimension for watching this.

It is someone's perversion for sure, someone whose fantasy it to wait for the moment he can go around shooting people like a videogame. When you see videogames now lack a story and in its mayority are first person shooting games for the last 8-9 years, you can draw the coorelation. It is like a hypnotic suggestion in mass.


There are many movies dedicated to the end of the world scenarios, it seems, they put these movies to inplant these ideas on the minds of people, the movie focused on the psychopathic/anarchy aspect rather that focusing on the importance of building a comunity to withstand dificulties. This movie makes it acceptable to kill and shoot your neighbor dead for sport then go about life.
Mind you, there were many teenagers in the movie theater where i watched this.



There was no moral to the story. I don't think i have the inner strength to sit through another, i'd pay to have them turn the projector and sound off for two hours so i can NOT watch it . :p
