A nurse from India, which is a result of rape 42 years living in a vegetative state, died. Aruna Shanbaug suffered a severe brain damage and paralysis after the rape in 1973, survived the attack, but the rest of her life she spent in the hospital, where she was fed twice a day. Her case sparked a debate about euthanasia in India, but the Supreme Court rejected a plea to let her die.
