I have a friend who has the Sudeck syndrome. I ask: can a diet like our diet would help her? Evidently she is eating a lot of carbohydrates... like almost everyone in this planet. It is difficult to counsel a person when she is sick and suffers but I know that diet is the base of almost our health problems. What do you think? Can I tell her that maybe a diet low in carbos can help her situation?

This is a link about this rare illness.

Thanks in advance if you can give an advise. :)

Diet really helps all health problems. But reading the symptoms in the link you gave, I am wondering if EE would help, too. They are saying a dysfunction in the sympathetic nervous system is partially to blame. Maybe stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system can help to get things back under some sort of control with the sympathetic nervous system. I really am not sure on this, though.

And, then, they say that the mood of the patient affects this condition.

Both EE and changing diet to paleo, as we've seen, really help our mood. But I've seen a lot of people clinging on to their addiction of grains and dairy. This would be the first thing I would ask her to give up. Not both at once, but gluten first for a month or two and, then, the dairy. But she may not want to give up either.

I have tell her some time ago that it is important to change diet. I will tell her again but you know, people see bread and grains like god herself. In Spain bread is as important than water. I told her that I will ask help here, to see how people in this forum see this situation. Maybe she will think about it seriously. I don't want to insist, respecting her in that sense and because you can not change a person. Thank you very much for your advice, that I think have sense.

People are not enough aware of the importance of diet and the fault comes from doctors. And doctors are God, for them.
