The universe and asking

Hi all,

I searched and could not find a thread that fit my question, so I am posting it here for now. Forum moderaters please move this if necessary.

I have done a lot of thinking lately concerning the universe and how it can only respond to one based on what is asked. I have been very focused on this lately and give credit to the breathing and meditation exercises and the benefits I have received to date. I have understood for some time now, that the universe provides what it is asked. It took me some time to get a grasp on this, as I didn't fully understand how I was sending bad info out due to my current 3D programmed state of being. In other words, my programs were dictating everything and I was totally unaware to this.

My question now is can one ask or send out to the universe thoughts or good intentions for someone else? From what I have learned so far, the answer is no, as this would be a violation of free will for the person whom I would be wanting to assist or help.

I would really appreciate some help with this. I just can't seem to get past this one.

You seem to have answered your own question so I don't understand what you are asking. Here is a quote that might help, OSIT.

Seems to me sending a request or good intentions or thoughts, is similar to doing rituals I mean, you just ask, you have absolutely no idea of how it is going to work you do it blindly.


Maybe if one do really want to be of help (if its his/her choice…) first there is a need to clean ourselves as much as we can, trying to waive attachments and limitacions (wich is what we are trying to do here isn’t it?), in order to become a true observer, a true listener, to let the Universe work through us.

Only in such state should be possible to truly help others consciusly.
Maybe the more we work to clean ourselves, the more the Universe (truth) can act trough us.

The Cs say we do not become STO by determining the needs of another, and it is truth… but there are many concepts of what we have learnt that we can transfer to our daily life, wich can serve as an example to others, maybe there is no need to give direct knowledge or advices but to be an example wherever we are, whoever we are with.

As Vulcan has said, you pretty much answered your question. Now, if the person IS asking, then of course you can send good thoughts or intentions to someone else. The important factor is the asking, which of course, can itself be tricky. It requires discernment to know if someone is really asking. For example, psychopaths use the pity ploy as an emotional manipulation. In such a case they are feeding on another person's good will (and naivete).

Hi all,

Thank you Vulcan59, Pryf, and Approaching Infinity for your responses. You are right in that I 'knew' the answer, but lately I am questioning a lot of things about myself and my thinking processes. I think it better to ask for help here than just assume I have it right. With some much happening, I just got confused in my thinking and needed some clarification to clear my head on this.
