The Wave, by Jude Currivan PhD.

I've just started to read this fascinating book, and was wondering if anyone else had come across it or the author, Dr Jude Currivan. She's a physicist specialising in cosmology and quantum physics, and she also has a doctorate in archeology in which she researched ancient cosmologies. She has studied consciousness and metaphysics all her life, and claims to have had encounters with discarnate beings since early childhood.

In The Wave she aims to explain the profound interconnectedness and harmony of the universe and reveal its underlying principles. Combining leading edge research with the perennial wisdom of all ages, she attempts to reconcile science and spirit into a universal model of consciousness.

I will post more as I read, if anyone is interested. Meanwhile, I'm interested to know if anyone else has read her and has views on her interpretations of the universe.

Thanks.

Hi ec1968

I just looked it up on Amazon. An author's academic titles and qualifications have never been a guarantee of quality in a book. At least that's the case in my reading experience. I'm not sure how the information can be 'leading edge' either, as it was published eight years ago - a long time in terms of the speed of scientific discovery today - and even longer in quantum terms :)

It does look interesting - but the description doesn't suggest anything new.

Any chance of you posting some extracts of what you have read and found to be fascinating? That would be helpful.

Thanks.

Very interesting. I'd suggest that you keep your critical thinking on a high level while reading that book. You know, just in case so that you don't swallow any possible BS in sugar coating... :)

A few excerpts from the web.

I experienced my first orb on a warm summer’s evening in the heart of the Avebury landscape in southern England that has been my home for the last thirteen years. Deemed sacred for at least six millennia, Avebury and its surroundings are replete with ancient monuments, geomantic energies and the temporary temples of crop circles. And whilst I have experienced psychic phenomena and communicated with higher guidance and extraterrestrial intelligences since early childhood, it was only when I began to live here that I fully awakened to the living consciousness of the Earth and her multi-dimensional beings.

The orbs I have encountered are an essential part of that awakening, for not only have I seen them, I have been able to telepathically communicate with them.

All my life, I have connected with discarnate beings and extraterrestrials and I have seen and communicated with a variety of UFOs.

But to me, the orbs feel different.

The ancients and the primary peoples who still share the Earth have communed with and learned from her and the “shining ones” of her devic, faerie and elemental kingdoms as living intelligences. For me the orbs offer us such a communion.

I believe we are now on the threshold of collective shift of consciousness, to re-member who we really are, re-discover our hidden heritage and evolve our cosmic destiny. As such, we are now becoming able to see and experience what only a very few people – the sages, shamans and seers may have perceived in the past.

And as we expand our perception beyond the limitations of our ego-bound personality, we are becoming aware of the multi-dimensional realities of the Cosmos. We are realising that we have only been limited by our beliefs and that we can transcend the boundaries of space and time.

and about, from the same source:
During a highly successful business career she obtained extensive experience in merging her intuitive gifts into a practical and well-grounded approach for managing organizational and cultural change. Her corporate career culminated in her being the Group Finance Director of two major international companies and to her being in the early 1990s [it was 1992, according to another source] the most senior business woman in Britain.

In 1996, Jude chose to take her work beyond the corporate world. She co-founded The Coachhouse, a holistic centre at Avebury and was the co-principal of The Earth School dedicated to the education of perennial wisdom teachings.
She is a master dowser (on the professional register of the British Society of Dowsers) and a healer and teacher at the College of Psychic Studies, London.

... Scientific understanding of the holographic nature of the universe requires viewing reality as a product of our own conscious thoughts and intentions.

Now if information is at the very root of what we call reality, then essentially, we need to take a step further back and understand that it's conscious intention that is creating our realities. ...

And we begin to experience multidimensional realities. What we believe we see, what we do not believe, what we cannot imagine, we literally do not see. And there is a shift taking place, individually and collectively; as we do wake up, we’re beginning to open our awareness to other possibilities. We’re beginning to see things that we did not see before because of those self-imposed limitations.

Transcending our traditional, three-dimensional way of viewing the world will move humankind into a new reality. ...

I feel we are seeing the shift worldwide. We’re literally moving as part of the shift into what I call “mythic reality.” We are living mythic reality. This is a time of miracles and synchronicities and waves of change that are coming through us and we can make that shift, we can live that shift as gracefully and as lovingly as possible or hold on to limited ideas of control and ego-based perception of reality. ...

Well, back in 1998, I was given a spiritual download, of really the years to come. And at that point, there were 13, 14 years or so until the end of the Mayan Calendar which ends on the December solstice of 2012. And I was given an understanding that around the world there were 12 multi-dimensional artifacts that had been positioned around the planetary energy grid that were ready to be activated for the shift that is now.

Echoing many religious viewpoints, Sai Baba claimed we are all God, that we all have divinity within us. Renowned cosmologist and author Dr Jude Currivan PhD – who spent time at Sai Baba’s Brindivan ashram in 1994 following what she considered to be a providential calling – suggests that the only difference between Sai Baba and many others is ‘that he knew he was God, whilst they still didn’t realise that they were.’ ...

Dr Jude Currivan, while not a devotee, is typical of many Sai Baba advocates in experiencing a powerful awakening as a result of his influence. ‘I had been in a very corporate environment and mindset before encountering Sai Baba,’ Jude told me, ‘and while I’ve “walked between worlds” all my life, he helped to liberate me from that limited perception and really begin my spiritual service for which I’m enormously grateful’.

Spiritual download  Oooo, that's sound interesting ;D And Madam Barbara H as well, sounds like she walks in the company of giants... had a small taste of that sugar years ago, problem was the sugar high wore off rather fast and the only thing left was more of the same, sugar.... not a good diet afterall. :-[ So disappointing. :(

Hummm, I have a bad feeling about it. It has a strong New Age flavor in my opinion.

Being part of the ''World Shift Council'' with Deepak Chopra, being awarded by an UN sponsored organization, saying that all humanity will evolve into a higher state of consciousness and communicating with extraterrestrial/discarnated beings are all red flags to my eyes.

This is the feeling I got from the few exerts in this thread.

Be critical. The devil's always in the details.

Peace.

What she's full of, imo, is definitely not wisdom or knowledge.
She'll probably be selling lots of books and dvds/cds to the newage sewage crowd.
She's gotta do something about the dollar signs in her eyes. ;) ;) ;)
