“The Way.”

A Disturbance in the Force
Often when reading and studying eastern literature and martial arts, “The Way” is mentioned as a path that can be taken for spiritual development. Early Christianity was also called “The Way” as mentioned in the New Testament.

I’m pondering whether the “The Way” is a highlighter only for an STO oriented pathway or it encapsulates STS pathway too?

Hello OldBoyRic.

Seeing as this is your first post on the forum, just to let you know we ask all new members to introduce themselves first via the 'Newbies' section. It gives everyone a chance to get to know you and to welcome you as a new member as well as pass on tips on how this place operates.

In terms of your question, there are a number of possible interpretations of the esoteric term 'The Way' that would, for example, include the work of Gurdjieff who coined the phrase the 'Fourth Way' to describe his particular line of teaching. If you use the search bar in the above right hand corner you will find a host of threads exploring his philosophy and its role in the study of this forum.

The Way as I meant was taking a path - the STO one. While reading Darkness Over Tibet, it occurred to me that both STO and STS will have their “Way.”
