Electronics giant Sony has sparked a major row over animal cruelty and the ethics of the computer industry by using a freshly slaughtered goat to promote a violent video game.

The corpse of the decapitated animal was the centrepiece of a party to celebrate the launch of the God Of War II game for the company’s PlayStation 2 console.

Guests at the event were even invited to reach inside the goat’s still-warm carcass to eat offal from its stomach.
[...]
We have reproduced the spread – headlined Sony’s Greek Orgy – here, but have pixellated the image to spare readers the sight of the goat’s decapitated head hanging by a thread of tissue from its corpse, with blood dripping to the floor.

But the magazine’s readers were shown the picture in its full horror.
In case people are wondering where such things as animal or human sacrifice come from, I present to you "exhibit A". They come from parties thrown by psychopaths, it is their idea of a good time. Now if those psychopaths are well-known or part of a large multinational corporation and they think this will somehow enhance their corporate image, well that's just an example of a small "error" of judgment on behalf of a psychopath who sometimes has trouble guessing what normal people will find abhorrent, repulsive, and evil, and what is just good fun. Because really, that's all they can do - try to guess by carefully studying the behavior of normal people since they have no internal barometer that tells them that any particular action is right or horrifically psychotic, and since animal sacrifice hasn't been done in a while, they probably did not have any recent examples to determine what normal people think about it, oopsie!

The shock and confusion of everyone who heard about this, and saw the gory pictures in Sony's official "PlayStation" magazine is of course understandable, they do not understand what sort of entities are in charge of most coporations and governments of this planet, so they cannot get through their head just how and why Sony could possibly do something like this, it seems to make no sense at all without knowledge of Political Ponerology. But anyway, here are some official responses by the psychopaths about the event, just in case anyone had any doubt that they are in fact, well, psychopaths:

The company, which released the game in the UK on Friday, admitted that the stunt had been a mistake. In a statement it said: "Sony does not condone or sanction any inappropriate behaviour by its staff or sub-contracted staff.
This is a very strange response by Sony after having just done the exact opposite - sanctioned, condoned, and participated in some of the most horrifically "inappropriate" behavior since the old testament. So how can they just look everyone in the face and just make the most blatant, most obvious lie that must assume that we're all a bunch of morons with a case of severe amnesia? Hmm... unless of course, they don't consider what they did to be inappropriate, which makes their statement "technically" true in their eyes? One way or another we already know that psychopaths' words and actions don't match, so big surprise there..

"It has come to our attention that at the God Of War II launch showcase, an element of the event was of an unsuitable nature. We are conducting an internal inquiry into aspects of the event in order to learn from the occurrence and put into place measures to ensure that this does not happen again."
WHAT!? You slaughtered a goat and ate its organs for a party to promote a video game. Only a complete psychopath could possibly do this and then feel the need to conduct an "internal inquiry" to LEARN (yes, LEARN!) just what the hell is wrong with this. The keyword here is of course learn. What normal people intiutively feel and know, a psychopath needs to conduct an inquiry and study, learn, memorize, and try to remember this stuff! How else could they know what is right or wrong?

And another completely ridiculous statement "put into place measures to ensure that this does not happen again." Ummm... what? You mean, you will try to put measures in place to ensure that animal sacrifice and the eating of their raw flesh is taken off the list of things to do at corporate parties? Damn, that was one of their best company policies, it'll be missed for sure. Just what kind of measures can you put in place!? Send out an office memo about animal sacrifice? Please, I really want to know!! Would they include animal sacrifice in their new and improved job application forms? No, the only possible "measure" is not to be a psychopath. It's like a murderer promising to put into place measures to ensure that his murdering rampage will not happen again. Your guess is as good as mine, but don't hold your breath.

Not that this is new, these sorts of things are common at the white house parties too as we already know. Maybe Sony needs to send out that memo around the White House too just in case Cheney saw the magazine (Bush doesn't read) and thought it was a great idea for the next "State of the Union" address.

The comments following the Daily Mail article are just as disturbing. Most commentors are not shocked, claiming that the game is great and the promotion was just a good-natured joke to rile the establishment. Uh, huh. Sony knew dang well what they were doing when they held this orgy. Now, the anti-video game factions and the fundies will scream bloody...whatever...and mind-controlled, addicted video game fans will rally round the cause. Nothing concrete will be done, save yet another whitewash investigation and a lot of gnashing of teeth while sales of the game go through the roof. Oh, and the recalled Sony mags will find their mark on EBay.

Truly disgusting.

reminds me of the 'negative selection' process described by Lobaczewski that happens as the pathocracy takes hold - those who more strongly identify with it, or are more suceptible to it's charms (urgh), pop out of the woodwork all over the place. and so, as this goes on, the psychos can more openly behave in this way as it becomes 'acceptable'.

like flies round sh**, to use the good-old anglo-saxon expression.

I cannot agree more. I remember what used to be 'acceptable' and more importantly 'unacceptable' when I was a kid Friday the 13th movies were pushing the envelope, Madonna and they way she dressed and the things she sung about were immoral and Ozzy Osbourne biting the head off of a bat prompted revulsion but now a days big deal. Sacrifice a goat at a party to promote a violent video game great idea, dance around with a fig leaf (skimpy outfit) rapping about 'backing that thing up' or 'milkshakes bringing boys to the yard', make a movie so eerie and gross that it almost seems comical. The depths of deprevity that a pop culture will go to in order to attract the attention of a teenage-young adult audience is no longer staggering it has just simply become expected.

I do not advocate laws that eliminate or repress freedom of speech or expression but I do advocate intelligent conversations about the things that are being expressed and why we might be drawn to such seemingly repugnant images and expressions.

Very much so. Must read Political Ponerology again. I've just finished the Wave series and Bringers of the Dawn, but need to go back to Lobaczewski. PP was a tough read for me. Very strong stuff. My brain needed a break...although I got the concepts...upsetting as they were. While the truth revealed in Lobaczewski's book was painful, it was the clearest explanation ever given on the nature of evil...and why this world continually falls into the trap.

Reading the thoughts of persons who obviously emulate or admire phsychopathic behavior while they drown themselves in the bread and circus mentality that includes violent video games as a form of 'entertainment' is sobering to say the least. It's absolutely unreal how these commentors view the world...it's only a game. (If they really knew just how much of a game it is!) They can't all be psychopaths. Sure sounds like it from their comments.

I agree that censorship is not the answer. An intelligent conversation on a forum like this shows that a small corner of the world finds the incident repugnant. The fact that the Sony event got the news coverage it did is highly suspicious...almost like it was planned to shock and awe the sleepwalkers into action...but not in the way you or I might think. More like divide and conquer, rally the psychopathic troops (or flies as in sleepyvinny's anglo-saxon expression above) together to fight for 'freedom.' A paranoid thought, perhaps, but the whole deal appears too contrived and part of the PTB game plan...literally. The PTB and their newspapers and media lackeys thrive on controversy.

Repugnant indeed.

This one reached the point of violent negative selection! It can create a 'case point' in the videogamers community sort of... like either you take the boat or leave / you're with us nutzoids or you're different (sic.).

From Lobaczewski, p 193:

Violent negative selection of the original group now ensues. The inspirational role of essential psychopathy is now also consolidated; it remains characteristic for the entire future of this macrosocial pathological phenomenon.

I got the feeling, while reading this, that it is revving up the programming another notch for the video gamers. First, get them used to sacrificing animals, then move up to humans. The hair is standing up on the back of my neck as I type this. I don't mean to be gruesome, but it is just something I see the psychopaths doing.

Is the programming becoming closer to completion? I have to wonder. And the fact that goofballs are coming out of the woodwork with these shootings, is another thing that makes me wonder how close are they to completion?

The psychopaths are feeling confident it seems. OSIT.

The article has just been posted on SOTT.

Please feel free to go there and make comments, as it has been well exposed in this thread for what it is: psychopathic behaviour.

It is becoming sickening day by day and people are confused so they give benefit of doubt to the authority so to the psychopaths.
