September 29, 1988
A Brazilian commercial aircraft was hijacked by a man frustrated with politics. His goal was to crash it into Brazil’s equivalent of the White House, the Planalto Palace.
The terrorist, who did not know how to fly, stormed the cockpit with a gun and forced the pilot to follow his instructions.
The deviation from the planned route was detected immediately, and a military jet was scrambled to intercept. It reached the commercial aircraft before the attack could be completed. At any moment, it could have shot the plane down.
The pilot performed a violent evasive maneuver, disorienting the hijacker and allowing him to be subdued.
The terrorist attack was therefore stopped and failed.
____________
There are several facts that make this attempt much weaker when compared to that of the (official) account of the 9/11 attacks.
The terrorist was not trained. He did not even know how to fly an airplane and had to rely on forcing the pilot to follow his orders.
Since this happened in 1988, the plane was likely slower, allowing the Mirage fighter to reach it in time and, if necessary, shoot it down.
Fortunately, the pilot was a former military officer. He had the composure to act under extreme pressure and perform the unexpected maneuver that caused the terrorist to lose control.
The distance between the commercial plane’s departure airport and the target was at least about twice as long as the distances involved in the 9/11 planes. This gave the Mirage fighter more time to reach the aircraft and, if necessary, shoot it down.
_____________
Thus there were many factors helping the authorities to halt the attack. According to the (official) 9/11 story, the terrorists had much more advantages in terms of training, distance, and plane speed.
On the other hand, the 9/11 purported terrorists were against a far more powerful airforce and monitored airspace.
The BRAZILIAN Air Force in 1988 (yes, the Brazilian) was faster and smarter than the American was in 2001, the Brazilians quickly understood what was happening and immediately sent a fighter to intercept the commercial aircraft.
This case helps to illustrate how the (official) version of 9/11 attacks just makes sense if a lot of incompetence was going on
