Thoughts of my mind.

After buying some of the books recommended and started to read the wave series along with the adventure series and some forum posts I came across a couple of post's that where blocked for me. No big deal I searched and came up with the answer, I haven't posted enough in the forum. Yet the more I read of the forum the more I understand that if I read all I can over and over I find all the answer's to my questions that someone else has usually asked. I love learning and reading yet I think I'm not thinking on the right wave length. The more I read the more I realize that anything I have to ask is allready awnsered which makes me think that I should simply keep reading, yet I rather not wish to be a board lurker. I feel I'm stuck somewhere without the proper words to describe it. If there's one thing this forum has taught me is that I seriously need to change my thinking and enhance my vocabulary, yet it seems I'm stuck at a simple vocabulary level. Forgive this jumbled mess but I'm trying to find the words I seek and at the present I don't think i am. Can anyone help me in the right direction? Advice would be appreciated.

There is a lot of information on the forum open to everyone. And in a few more posts, you’ll be able to read even more.

As for thinking on the right wave length, don’t worry about it. As you continue to read, you’ll understand more. We all need to change our thinking! It is a long process, and it involves identifying the blinders we have that prevent us from seeing things as they are. That is what the work is about.

Sounds like you would benefit from the Éiriú Eolas breathing programme. Have you tried it yet? It might help settle down your racing thoughts and help you out of the jumbled mess you find yourself in.

Also, have you looked at the information in the Diet and Health section? Eliminating unhealthy foods (wheat, dairy, sugar, corn, coffee, pop, alcohol, etc) will make a big difference in how you feel and how you think.

So don’t get discouraged. It can seem overwhelming at the beginning. Just keep at it and you’ll make progress.

Shadow, I can definitely relate here, I feel lurker-ish myself. There have even been an instance when while I was typing a question on a board, someone went ahead and answered my question before I could post. This forum and the material really does cover just about every question that I can ask. I am very grateful for the fact, though I found that I would like to participate a little more. For me, applying the knowledge and utilizing what I do know seems to be the best way I can contribute to the greater good for the time being.

I second Galahad on the EE recommendation. EE along with the diet has helped me tremendously in dealing with the pressures of life.

Yes i have started on the EE program allthough I will admit I'm still working on PB and the belly breathing. I have started changing my diet but with difficulty. I'm stressed out right now because I'm trying to tie some loose ends up from my material perspective so i have more free time to research and read the books I have. I'm now waiting on the G.I. Gurdjeff and some other books I ordered today. It seems as though I have alot of thoughts lately pertaining to "there's not enough time in the day to get done what I want to get done". My biggest issue ATM is beating myself up from lack of understanding half of what I read, allthough i enjoy rereading most of it. I have to laugh from the fact this voice keeps reminding me i have alot of specific threads to read in the forum and I'm struggling to maintain a decent balance within myself and my life.

Instead of creating a topic, starting a thread you can add to an existing topic, reply to another's question. Allot of times one question receives an answer and then that leads to another question within the same thread and a full blown discussion ensues. Being part of that discussion will erase the lurking feeling. My vocabulary isn't very good either but it has improved. Every time I come across a word I don't understand I will type it into the Google Thesaurus. This helps me get familiar with the word then I try and use it in sentences.
