Thanks for your info Lukas.
Since you are waiting for results to come in, it might be best to spend that time looking around a bit - notably to which city you would want to move and what jobs are available in that region, so you wouldn't lose any time over it were you not to be admitted to study MA.
As a rule of thumb, when you cherish a personal aim (as in owning your own restaurant) it's important to be absolutely certain not only of the inclination towards that goal but also about the question whether you realistically would be able to pull that one off. I mean, hardship befalls us all every now and then - which would be much easier to bear out when you know it's worth the effort to persevere because of your aim. I've heard stories by the dozen both ways, i.e. from people who deeply regretted they didn't follow their dreamjob where ever it might have taken them as well as from others who did so and were thwarted by unprecedented mishaps but remained on course unabated until they got near to what they had set out for.
It might be advisable to look out for a new job that brings you closer to the area of your choice in any way if possible, for instance as an assistant of the (assistant)manager in a restaurant or hotel or something of a similar nature. One can still study on the job, you know.
In any case, I wouldn't be bothered by external happenings nobody would really have specific foreknowledge of. Disasters can always happen any time but in fact are extremely rare occurrences for which you cannot plan beforehand except in a broad way of common sense (buy insurance, for instance). And I certainly wouldn't hazard my complete future for it. If your current job isn't satisfactory in the long run and the location where you live now neither, it's perfectly legitimate to want to change all that - regardless of future developments elsewhere which don't concern you in any direct way personally. Life is risky any which way you turn and it's just common sense to not be unduly adventurous, but you shouldn't let unspecified 'circumstances' impede you too much in your choices and decisions - all within reason, that is.
Just my 2 cents...
