Timeout troubles ...

I'm really sorry to be a bother. But ever since before Christmas, I have been timing out, usually within minutes of logon (my timeout is the default 60 minutes). I click to post, "your session timed out" then I log back in, "your last post was within 60 seconds from this IP", and then post page is dead and does not respond. No, it was ten minutes ago, not one. I have to copy and paste the message into a text editor, and kill the session. I am not complaining, not a big deal really, and if it means more caution posting, good! :) But why would this suddenly start in December? (Same machine as ever OSX10.4.11/Safari4.04). Thxs.

Have you tried using Firefox to see if it's a browser issue? Other than that, I'm not sure it's anything on the server's end. Sounds like a problem with your connection, but maybe more techie-minded folks will have more answers.

It's also happening to me a lot of times (as well Safari, but long before December), but I ignore it and simply push the button again what I intended to do. For example if I wanted to post something then I push posting again, then things ever work out for me (or go the previous page once more (back button in the browser), then the post is restored).

So far I never logged myself in and out again, when it happened.

Hope it helps.

TIMEOUT

I had tried to post several new topics, and 3 times I was timeout.
WHY IS THAT?
This 3 times I went over one hour while typing and when I tried to post them,I was asked to relog and retype again.
Do you have to type within an hour?
Is this a new rule?

It is not a new rule - it is simply how the forum software works. If it takes a while for you to type a post, do it in a writing program of some sort - Word or Notepad or something, then copy and paste it onto the forum.
