Tomorrowland...

Woodsman

The Living Force
Anybody else seen this yet?

Interesting...

I'm still processing, but it looks like one of "ours".

It leaves out certain bits of information; the idea of the psychopath and aspects which might be found in other messages, like "Jupiter Ascending".

Though, the interesting thing with media is that single, discrete message chunks tend to only seem that way to the conscious mind, where in reality they all serve to add up in the subconscious.

I find it interesting that certain "classes" of message seem to respond well among elements of the population. "Mad Max" appears to have garnered a huge level of enthusiastic appreciation among many, where other messages which encourage one to stretch our concepts of time, space and the basic nature of reality are not as popular.

I see this perhaps as evidence of diverging realities.

I recently watched this, and although it had some interesting ideas (such as transdimension, or density) but they were never developed. It seemed like an unfinished idea.

Just caught it! Loved it. The part about 'feeding the right wolf' tickled me since I first heard that story here.

Granted, the execution was a bit sloppy, the whole narrative thing at the beginning threw me off a bit. Once I got into the story however, I found it rather compelling.

Ideas included a breakaway technological civilization, the end of the world and an individual's ability to stop it by never giving up. There's some interdimensional stuff, nothing hyperdimensional though. They don't touch psychopathy or manipulation, but it's a kids' movie.

Thought I'd mention it.

Good point. However, due to the past role of the future leader- as Dr. House, I couldn't but help have a coincidental bias that he was somewhat psychopathic, lol.

I think that stuff matters. I don't believe the subconscious is going to forget. The same thing happened with Doctor Who; the newest actor, Peter Capaldi, was playing a rancid lunatic in his previous role on a political BBC fiction called, "The Thick of It". What does that do to one's perception, especially wrt authority figures (and doctors)?

Yeah, quite liked the movie and thought it was an entertaining watch with the concept of dimensions etc. - and really liked the "feeding the right wolf" analogy too...first time I have come across it, didn't realize it was mentioned here before...

Well I finally got around to viewing tomorrowland last night. My take on this film is pretty negative and let me explain. Tomorrowland is there, we can get there, but not if we follow the music these people are playing. If the people do not begin to listen to their own music once more, then the Pied Pier will lead them just where it lead my generation, and all the generations before that. Make no mistake about it, this is the music of the Pied Piper.

Once upon a time the people began to play their own music, that was the first part of the 60's and they were heading to tomorrowland, but the evil witch in the castle saw that the music was good and sent her minions to corrupt and kill the good music and to replace it with a corrupted band of pipers, and that's a fact, not a fantasy, and she took control over the music makers and the rest is history.

So this film is from Disneyland and that's your first warning.

Tomorrowland, tomorrowland, will we ever get to see tomorrowland? Not in my lifetime evidently. Once upon a time I lived in a tomorrowland. It was a wonderful fantasy by the way, while it lasted that is, but it was still a fantasy and of course it pretty much goes without saying that the fantasy was racially biased, sexually biased, it was a kind of sick fantasy really. That was the tomorrowland of yesteryears. The price of believing in the tomorrowland that this corporation weaves will be the same one it gave to my generation. That is, fantastical hopes and dreams with reality filled with struggling to survive while politicians and corporations try to get you killed one way or another, if not at work itself, then in a war for profit somewheres.

That's your second warning.

At 60 I can say things like that. I didn't quite get to see the 50's where the the fantastical dreams of fantasy really took flight, but I did see the 60's pretty much from start to finish. God was it a great time to be a child. The world was a safe place back then, or so we thought, and it was filled with hope, with dreams of tomorrowland. The dream makers I grew up with are either classics or buried under the rubble. The outer limits, lost in space, the Jetsons, time tunnel, and the beat went on and still it goes on, but they control the beat
and this film isn't any different.

That's your third warning.

They tell us things, they always have, these films tell you things. We weren't hip to that idea back then. I don't know anyone was. I think this understanding is fairly recent. Well this film, it's a spun fantasy from billionaire central and their Pied Piper factory. It's a fun film, it tell us there's a world beyond our own, but we here already know that.

It tells us that the future is the creation of the fantasy and the fantasy can be altered by the actions of those here and now, it tells us that there is a way to immortality, evidently via drinking a chocolate shake each morning. I'm a little skeptical of that one, but I'm not skeptical to the idea that somewhere some people might have access to that information.

It also confesses that the dark story, the story of the tomorrowland we have been getting from these people is because they control the broadcasting of the dream, but then they blame us for that and say we gobbled it all up. Not recognizing that Mad Max was preferred over the dream world they wanted to lead us to. They hate us for that, blame us for that, they even suggest that they killed those responsible for broadcasting those dreams, that it was a younger group whom are now running the show. They say they are going out in search of the dream makers once more. Pay attention to that one because idealist are always the most dangerous of all people whom ever live if they are given real power.

That's your 4Th warning.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie, we got a three day rental on it and I'm going re-watch again tonight because there's a lot of cabals info in there, or so it would seem. This is a Disney film, and that right there is like the poster child for corruption. Don't forget it, don't forget that this drug is from the dealer. This is being broadcast to you direct from mind control central and yes they are proud of that.

So I'm critical and I'm critical because what I see is the makings of a replay of my life upon the unsuspecting youth of another epoch. Oh the Pied Piper of Hamlin can play a beautiful melody so beware of men whom play with children is my advice. If you're like in your 20's, 30's or even 40's don't deceive yourself. You're a child still and you will know this if you live to be 60.

I ask you; where is my time tunnel, my flying car, my vacations to the moon, where's my robot, my sexy houseboy/girl android to serve my every need, where oh where did those things go? They went up in smoke is where they went. They died in Vietnam, on the streets fighting for justice and civil rights that the same collection criminals today are once more tearing up, they died in wars, in hate, in politics, in injustice, in the theft of wealth and the destruction of the nation.

The same dream makers also spin the diversions which cloud the minds of the mind controlled. See, the same people whom I grew up with, the ones who's dreams began to actually change this world were unaware of the evil over them. These are the same people who also forgot about their President gunned down in the street, forgot about the criminals whom assumed power, even voted for them, they forgot what's important financially, their money turned from silver and gold, to literally bits of binary computer codes and that they called profits while they destroyed lives and their own planet, made millions renters for life out of greed and now as their world implodes all around them they still don't get it.

Tomorrowland is already here, and what they are selling are the antiques of what they have had for the last half century. So the story here is the winners of the Tomorrowland badges will be the most mind controlled of the well intention-ed, the Greener's of tomorrowland with their wind farms, selfless sacrifice sermons, and so on, but all that these people do will be under the control of those whom give them the awards and whom make them feel special, selected, chosen to lead.

The rest of us troglodytes will be slaves to these new horizons, which are really old horizons. Under their banners of selflessness the jack boots of the Orwellian World of the perverse Royalty will trample upon the rights of the individual, tear up the social contracts and create a slave empire where all rebellion will be seen as vile evil against the do goodies working to bring on the new tomorrow.

I think it's kind of a scary film in some sense.

Havent' seen it, but just knowing that CFR member or wannabe,, George Clooney, is in it, should ring a few bells.

;D Ok, still haven't seen it all, but saw most of it the other day.. missed the first 20-30 minutes... it's pretty generic in Hollywood syfy outlook and chase situations... did like the very, very last shot with that chubby dude from that Island tv show... 'Lost'... saying something about how this all seems familiar... or something like that. funny.

It's the usual good quality Hollywood production... only problem is the usual lack of depth in the storyline...

Haven't seen that other one mentioned here in recent months.. the W brothers... now sisters  That was very interesting to find out lately. Imagine the attacks they've been under... knowledge protects, and they seem lacking in such protection.

I'll probably see the first part of this film sometime soon while flipping channels, but I doubt that I missed anything. George had a decent part, but this does seem like an establishment product, which it is of course, but it's still nice to look at... like anything beautifully vacuous, which is the very definition of being American don't you think? Same in any empire perhaps?
