Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Good grief.

Don't bother with this one.

Its in line and consistent with a cartoon plot, including the cheer leading for military technology and widespread destruction.

The comedy sprinkled throughout got me through it, and the obvious enjoyment of the crowd was interesting to Observe, but I regret spending the money on this one.

An evening of Scrabble would have been time better spent.

Mindless money-maker to keep the masses distracted & occupied. "Oh the govt keeps secrets from the ppl, but ultimately have the ppl's best interests at 'heart.'" Or something along those lines.

I agree - it was far to long and mindless - and the British Flag was obviously being linked with the US flag on mamy occasions.
P.S. I wonder what "optimus prime" would score on a "double word" score?
very strange

40 apparently, but you wouldn't be allowed to use it since it's a proper noun.

Well to be fair, the movie is based off of a cartoon and line of toys. I don't think it's meant to be anything more than explosions and robots.

True. :) I never watched the cartoon, and Hubby wanted to see a movie about robots.

Oh, and a glimpse of Megan Fox. He never said so, but the theater was full of twenty-something men, and very few families.

It turned out to be quite a 'date movie', which surprised me.

Well, I truly enjoyed this movie to the last bit, it was truly an amazing piece of work, I was a great fan of the cartoon, and I was definitely not disappointed. The CGI was truly amazing.

If you are a fan, like explosions and robots!, I highly recommend it!!

I thought it would have been a good film if they didn't put so much (not so) subtle conspiracy and military related propaganda in it. They do a textbook example of making all conspiracy 'loons' look just like that, quote "The internet is pure truth man". There are several shots of the robots crashing to earth looking rather like comets , they had that in the first aswell.
I have a hunch as its such a blockbuster and clearly co-opted to work in the PTB's favour that there could be some greenbaum related cues in there.
It was a generally earie film throughout for me, and looking at Michael Bays film history and especially upcoming projects http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000881/ only raises more suspicion.

Saying that he didn't write the films, although the writers of Transformers have and are also working on some interesting titles: Cowboys and Aliens, Atlantis Rising, 28th Amendment.

What did the C's call it? Project Wake Up? Looks that way, puzzled to why they want the population to know these things now when history shows they've been buzy trying to keep it all concealed! any thoughts on this?

Hi, the voice over at the start of the movie reveals the most interesting point for me. From memory, it was something like,"We have been with you a long time. Our histories are intertwined". Something like that.

Secret history anyone...?
